Well, the race card got played at my wife's work the other night.

I can see why black people use the race card so often. Even as the pendulum has swung the other way to create opportunities, it has still decreased opportunities for them in certain situations. One example I can think of is that I worked in a small office that did not hire black people b/c board of labor would essentially make it very difficult to fire them regardless of their performance. At least this was their experience with the board of labor. Then there are other situations I can think of as well. I don't think they are singled out moreso than latinos though. I think things would get better if minorities supported other minorities and worked together to equalize opportunities. then it would seem less like a 'race card' my 2 cents.

You're missing the point that non-Klansmen in this thread are attempting to make. The problem isn't black people, or these two particular scummy women even. The problem is that in this country the race card has been wildly overused, AND with black people especially, it simply carries a lot more weight than with other minorities. You don't hear about other minorities doing it in ridiculous situations like this because frankly it probably wouldn't work.

We need to find a happy medium between the mid 20th century when black people were getting universally crapped on and no one cared, and today where some black people (and whitey himself, let's not forget.) are screaming "racism" at every single oppurtunity. And if there is no oppurtunity, making one up for a free lunch.

Apparently it doesn't. At least not in this case anyway.

This forum is a perfect example of people screaming "racism" at every single opportunity. Personally, I think it's one of the most overused/misused term thrown around here. Hell, I've had people call me racist on this board...:roll:

I've seen the race card played WAY too many times for my liking. I used to work at an amusement park and I got called a racist more than once. Not like I treat ALL guests, regardless of race, in the same manner. :disgust:

I would have to agree. There is quite a big difference between black people and *****rs - or "ghetto black people". I was raised in a black neighborhood and attended a predominantly black high school and the difference is even more than plain as day once you hit your mid twenties and older.
I have black friends that would agree one hundred percent. It's too bad that the few have such great influence over the stereo typing in the US.
Sorry that your wife had to endure the darkside of what AMERICANS can be like. Be sure to explain to her that these types of people/racists just never grew up. Does it really matter what color you are or the fact that you're just another human being trying to get along in life?
If thEy weren't in line and hadn't said anything to any of the employees , tough sh*t! I'm feeling a rant coming on as this type of behavior isn't just related to the food service field. I think that it lives in all retail types of jobs and pretty much in any work environment that puts workers in contact with other people including other employees.

You know, I almost had let this deal go...like different day, different issues, until this dude in a maxima comes speeding into our complex, doing about 40, which should be a a 10MPH zone. Rap was going off, shaking windows, etc. so it was all about "Hey, look at me!"
He wasn't out of his car yet, when the two trashy women who were with him, started mouthing off to a neighbor, who was simply out walking her dog. She tried to step aside, but they side stepped right back in front of her, asking "What's you problem beeech"?

Nothing...I'm just trying to take my dog to the grass, she said. We'll get the f@ck off this side walk...this is my sidewalk, B!tch. The woman's husband came out, and apparently he and the dude had words. The next thing I know, we have cops all over the place.

The two women and the dude got taken away by the cops.

This is a nice neighborhood. He's the only one of that type dude living here.

Another fine example. But soon, the liberal extreme will be here trying to be the devils advocate, trying to get us to accept this behavior, or justify it in some way. In some way, they are going to try and blame this woman and her husband for something, even though there is no blame on their part. It's just the way the world works, when a particular dude or class of dudes comes under some scrutiny for acting in a typical way, of these typical type dudes.

The story you have just seen is true. The race has been covered up to protect the integrity of the dudes involved. :laugh:

Who's children? We've raised some well balanced kids. I will give my wife most of that credit. They are now 24 and 27 years old, and both successful in their chosen jobs. 🙂

You're playing dumb here. Are you seriously trying to claim that blacks and Asians find the same average level of success?

I see all these groups of people coming to the US and succeeding, whereas one group is consistently a nonperformer and makes excuses. You don't see Jewish people complaining about their situation. Are you going to say that blacks are the only ones who have suffered?

Do you have a problem reading? I said that African-Americans have a serious problem here, not blacks in general. I don't know of any immigrants of African descent who come to America and fail. Immigrants, whether they are black or of any other race or ethnicity, don't have that problem at all. They come to this country to have a better life, end of story. The Jews that come here are immigrants as well, just like the other blacks from the West Indies (whose ancestors came as slaves as well). As for other groups in this country that have similar problems as blacks, just look at the native Americans. Those reservations are literally ghettos where unemployment and alcoholism is rife. It's quite a sad state if you ask me. Are the African-American and native American experience the same in America? No, but they are quite similar

The sad reality of it is; a large portion of the times people do stuff like that it works and they get a free meal out of it because of how bad the label of "racist" is perceived even if nothing even remotely racist occurred. I would bet dollars to donuts that the group of women you are speaking of have done something similar many times before.

The really sad part of it all is that it desensitizes the term "racist" because it is used so much in so many instances where racism was obviously not a factor. When real racism is reported, your avg. everyday American pays little attention to it because of all of the B.S. Kinda like the boy who cried wolf.
