Well, the race card got played at my wife's work the other night.

Why don't you just chain them up and send them some place to do forced labor?

Oh, that's right, you already tried that

Yes because you were a slave

Sure.

Sounds like you're ignoring the fact that racism still exists today.

Sounds like you're ignoring the fact that racism still exists today.

Sounds like you're ignoring the fact that two women, regardless of color, tried to scam free meals at the expense of someone's job by inventing some racist behavior. I'll repeat if you missed it THEY WERE CAUGHT ON TAPE IT WAS A SCAM.

Why don't you just admit you hate white people and be done with it? You'll feel better afterward.

As far as the OP, I think I would be more upset by this incident than most others. It would be pretty tough to be accused of being racist and of actively discriminating, even if it was just a scam. Sorta like being at work and having somebody yell out that you're a pedophile- obviously ridiculous and fvcked up but traumatizing at the same time.

The OP however opens the door for the typical ATOT responses - a whole lot of white folks who feel like they can vent their passive-aggressive racist undertones in response to an offense committed by some other race. The last thread like this I saw was also about black women if memory serves... Some ahole went so far as to plug the benefits of living in a gated community where they don't have to deal with 'these types' of people.

So don't be shocked that somebody like Classy gets defensive. It doesn't take a genius to read between the lines. I'm not saying that everybody is guilty, but several of these posts make me feel dirty to read.

<---white, not that it really matters. maybe some context.

Are you referring to slavery? Nice to throw another race card out there.

When I said "they", I was referring to the type of person the OP is describing; and they come in every race.

Whats your basis for defending the people the OP is describing?

I see no need to dwell on the fact that the persons who upset the OP's wife were black. Like Classy said, there is scum in every race.
Except for the fact that the women in question played the race card. That is different than just bitching about being jumped in line while waiting to be seated. And the fact that they did it makes it very relevant to the story.

And yes, there is scum in every race, but you don't hear about multiple hundreds of incidents of Asians, Mexicans, Canadians or even Arabs playing the race card.

A lot of African-Americans are extremely racist against Asians. I think that it's a huge ongoing social issue that hasn't netted much attention because the Asian population is small, fractured, doesn't have a famous civil rights organization or leader, etc. However, I think this will change in the future as they realize that political power and civil rights authority is needed.

I can tell you this, lots of asians are secretivly racist against blacks too, we just don't show it in public.

No, I don't remember slavery, and neither do you or anyone you know.

Correct me if I'm mistake here, but aren't there now more Asians in America than blacks?
I know it's pretty close, and I also seem to think I remember reading that blacks either are or will soon be the 3rd largest minority behind Asians and Hispanics.

Classy is every bit as bad as the "dirty feeling" posts you're describing. This thread hasn't had anywhere near the typical level of passive-agressive black bashing you usually see in these types of threads.

While I'll agree that ATOT seems to enjoy stories that put women/blacks/gays in a bad light more than most places I've seen, people like Classy aren't helping to solve any lingering racism issues still floating around here and elsewhere. People like him are, in fact, a large reason why the problem still exists. It's no better to jump on white folks for daring to point out something bad a black guy/girl did than it is to jump on black people as a whole every time one of them does something stupid.

People talking about "Classy" need to remember what I have said for years.... He is not his name. That about sums it up. ;)

This is really crazy, since I posted this thread to share an experience. As was earlier stated, I'd have no reason to mention the race of the scammers, if the scammers had not used the B word to describe why my wife did not seat them. They said it first, I didn't. Sad to see all the personal attacks in this thread. You sure didn't see me resort to name calling in this thread.

If my wife had been accused of not waiting on someone because they were latino, asian or white, I would have included those details, as this was a thread about the race card having been played. I guess some did read and comprehend the thread title.

Am I the only one that appreciates going to the grocery store on the 1st? Seeing people with 2 carts and 14 kids spending my hard earned money on groceries while I struggle to buy my own.

You're tax dollars at work

Welfare can be a taught way of life. Generations of people who have never known work, but I feel like it gets worse with the younger generations.
This thread is not about welfare, however.

..sad story. There's a culture of race baiter racketeers fueled by the RB'ers in the media and the" Just Us" brothers ie.jackson and sharpton. They've done as much damage to American culture as the KKK did.
