Check your spark plugs and alternator. Send your car to a garage. I'm sure it's just a little piece that isn't working. Probably electrical.

Update!! My parents towed it to one of their mechanics and he is pretty sure it is the distributor. :( It is going to cost 400 dollars to replace. :|

Yeah, as soon as those car mechanics get their hands on your car, prepare to pay. My Toyota Camry driver-side automatic window failed, and the cost was $300 to fix. I still haven't had the money to replace the cracked front-shield glass.

You think just a distributor itself is inexpensive? Let alone the labor cost would involved. By the way, it's definitely not hard to replace a distributor on the Altima.

Buy yourself an automotive guide/manual for an Altima and do it yourself - the $40 you spend on the book more than pays for itself in the labor costs you avoid

<< Yet another reason to BUY AN AMERICAN CAR! >>

At today's prices, $400 isn't very much. And putting aside for the moment that most Hondas and Toyotas are made in the USA, you'll be disappointed if you expect repairs on Detroit finest to be much lower. :(

Shoot....I thought distrubutors were pretty cheap and easy to replace. $400 seems like an awful lot of dinero for a distributor.

Bought a distributor for my Bronco from Autozone for less than $50. Put it in myself in 20 minutes.
