But the punch had to be much more powerful than it looked. When he fought Thompson he took some vicious shots from JT without falling. Say what you want about JT, but he is known for having heavy hands. If Kimbo fought Petruzelli 9 more times, I dunno he might even loose all 9 of them. But I don't think any of the 9 would end like this did. It was a fluke punch, if Kimbo had a glass jaw JT would have put him out. It was a weird fight that's all I can say...

thats what im saying. that thing barely GRAZED him. theres probably lots of money riding on the fight. who knows what funny stuff they set up

I don't think the fight was fixed, yeah it just grazed him, but something about it connected just right. In Kimbo's first recorded fight he put down his guard and told the dude to hit him, and Kimbo took a couple nice shots right to the jaw without blocking. I know the dude that hit him wasn't an MMA dude, but to let people tap you on your chin like that is pretty ballsy. EXC might be able to spin this and actually make Kimbo even bigger, when I watch him interviewed he's very humble and the only MMA fighter I think I've ever seen admit a lot of dudes would beat him. I would like to see him win, it's not his fault EXC hypes him like they do. He trains hard and may win some more fights in the future. As far as his chin I don't think it's weak, that punch was just too crazy to call.

From my understanding it's more about where a punch lands than it's power necessarily. Of course if you have both the results will be more devastating, but it doesn't take a ridiculous amount of power if a punch lands in the right spot. If you look at the gif in this thread, you can see that the punch snaps Kimbo's head forward, which strains the brain stem I believe, which is what typically creates the stunned effect. Once Kimbo rolled over, he landed a few more solid shots to his face, though he did miss quite a few, or landed them on Kimbo's shoulder/back.

what garbage fights? they were all good fights. granted kmbo should still be undercard but it was a good fight.

it was a pretty good card. Kimbo had no clue about the guy he was facing and could have backed out of the fight. but he took it anyway. sure he got his ass kicked. but heck thats part of fighting.

i don't think we have seen the last of kimbo. but now hopefully the hype and having him as the main event fighter is done. maybe in a year or two he will be back.

WTF was with that one chick (I'm using that term very loosely) stomping on gina's feet? That's almost as low as biting.
