Well now...MAYBE The Office Will FINALLY be Worth Watching

Hmm almost any other actor and I would have had to condemn The Office as dead....but I agree, Spader is awesome. He was hilarious in the one episode he was in, too.

well um, from what I just read it sounds like they kind of totally give away a major portion of what sounds like an extremely good episode if not good chunk of the season...wtf...why...I guess the show is really that close to dying that they have no other choice but to give up such a spoiler?

:hmm:

I like Spader. He's a damned good actor...and can be funny as hell.
I might actually be able to sit through an entire episode of the show...finally.
Boomer... Boomer... Boomer.... if you didn't like it before, can't see you liking it now. 😛

I read that Spader is going to be a quick rising star in the company and take over the CEO's job just like that. Rising stars burn out quick some times though. :whiste:

^ its probably just one episode lol. And still not the new office manager which I'm happy about. I think he might be ok on the show but in small doses. He's a good actor but he seems out of place

I have many years invested in the character development.
I will always be a fan, regardless of who the new boss is.

I could relate to Michael because a lot of the crap he did, I do in my head... I just can't do it in reality or I would be labeled retarded. 🙂

Cue awkward pause....rinse....repeat...

Sorry but unless they get new writers that show is about as funny as your hand in a blender full of sulfuric acid.

The Office still gets about 8 million viewers, including myself, and is ranked in the 50's, so it's far from dying off.

To me, the US version of The Office is a deadpan snorefest.

I doubt then even someone as talented as Spader can change that.

I didn't like his character in the season finale. I think I found him as uncomfortable to watch as Jim did to interview. I dislike this decision.

He's MUCH better than Will Farrell...I'll watch stuff with Spader...not Farrell.

See, I love Will Ferrel, but I didn't like his part on The Office, either.

Maybe the problem is the writing.

I've never watched a full episode of The Office. I have never liked Steve Carrell...and the show always seemed retarded to me...MAYBE I'll watch it with James Spader...or maybe not. You COULD be right about the writing...

Who watched "The List", the season premiere last night?

Spoilers (that's why they are blanked out 😉

Had some good moments. Andy got Michael's job??? Didn't see that coming. I liked how Andy finally manned-up and told the new CEO, Robert California, that the "losers" he labelled as such had good qualities he wasn't aware of, and he named them. And they are taking Friday afternoon off for Columbus Day holiday to which the CEO ranted about how Columbus and crew committed genocide.... Andy, "I don't care." 😛

Also, I had to look up to see if Jenna (Pam) was actually pregnant because she was obviously bloated. Yep, she is... or was... she may have had the baby by now. Her emotional break downs throughout the show were a bit much.

Still... looking forward to the season. They have a lot of great characters to work with.
