Just thought I'd share a few tips with you guys in the same boat. Since I've matured (finished puberty that is, Im 24 now), my lowest weight has been 190... and that was about 4 years ago. I'm only 5'9, but 190 on me was skinny...I'm a pretty thick guy. At 190 I didn't have any love handles or gut
. Fast forward to About december of 2001...I got up to 255...now this was bad!, so I got my act together. I'm at 225 right now.
Basically it comes down to this...
I cut down my portions to a normal human level, heh... and my "big" meals of the day are around noon-2pm... In the evenings I go for walks, about an hour each time, 4 times a week. I don't eat at least 5 hours before I go to bed, and if I do get hungry in the evening, I have a little cup of cereal or I go pick up one of those cheapy lean cuisine meals. Don't get me wrong, I still eat fast food, but found some simple ways to not gorge myself.
Aside from only eating those nasty meals for lunch I also:
-dont "big" size anything
-get burgers without mayo (you'd be surprised how many calories that stuff has)
-get diet soda
Regardless, my goal is to get make it to 200. At that weight, I wear a size 38 pant and I don't feel too scrawny. Part of the massive weight gain was that I used to weight lift a lot, then I met a girl and she sort of took all of my time... evedently when you stop weight lifting , yours muscles shrink pretty quick and fat easily replaces it, who'da thunk?
