Actually, they called me saturday and left a voicemail when I was out running, by the time I got home, they were closed.

After verifying that they were legit, I called them back.

Back in July, I moved into a new apartment, which gets power service from a different company. Old apartment had service through SRP, new place has APS. I canceled SRP in July, gave them my new address and phone number. When I moved out, I left a forwarding address and phone number with the old apartment managers.

3 months later, they turn my name over to a debt collection company, saying I owe them 45 dollars.

What the hell? In 3 months, you can't call me or mail me a bill, or contact me in anyway. Supposedly, this won't effect my credit score because it didn't get reported to that level, but I'm going to pull that in a few minutes.

SRP = Bastards.

What the hell? In 3 months you couldn't call them or mail them to find out how much you owed? It's your obligation to pay what you owe even if the bill doesn't quite get to you.

I get debt collector calls all the time. They're not for me, but the dipsh!ts won't believe me when I tell them the person has never lived anywhere near this house.

I got a call from one today on my prepaid cell phone, I knew it wasn't for me since I have never given out the number and I paid cash for it and the refills.

:laugh: I got it for emergency use(like tow trucks, etc.), and can't really afford a regular cell, so to preserve my minutes I decided not to give the number out, even to my family.
