In my area, there are some breakfast places that often have very long lines - like 150-200 people waiting in line to get in, because the breakfast is so good. E.g., https://spraguesmaplefarms.com/restaurant-and-pancake-house Mom & pop places with good breakfasts are very plentiful; we go out for breakfast fairly often on the weekend. Waffle House? Blah. If you opened a Waffle House around here, they'd be out of business in a year.

The place is huge - a line of 200 people might only take 20 -30 minutes. And, this is in a non-metropolis type of area. Biggest city in the area = 14,000 people.

The place is huge - a line of 200 people might only take 20 -30 minutes. And, this is in a non-metropolis type of area. Biggest city in the area = 14,000 people.

It's not a pancake house, but the output at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans on a daily basis is pretty massive.

Even little Lenny's down here is usually packed with a line on the weekends, one of the reasons we rarely go unless we have people visiting that have heard of it.

The Breville waffle maker's sweet as hell too, but it's $249, not that the one I linked too is really cheap either though. Waffle house around here is pretty good, one thing that sucks around here is IHOP. The service there is pretty horrible, nothing like having slow service at a place and then having to wait for when they will be back with the check.

I agree with QueBert that circular waffles are superior to other shaped waffles. Their shape enables equal, even spreading of the syrup of choice.

Also putting peanut butter + maple syrup on your waffles will change your life. It's like heroin. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Cafe Du Monde was ok, but's not THAT great of a throughput and it only does one thing. (which they do well). I honestly didn't get the appeal.

I thought The Ruby Slipper was great and it had huge lines as well but far more worth the wait.
