Sweet. Still hearing conflicting accounts, but Id personally hope that they dont let the frame rate slip one inch in HD. Ill say one thing at least....playing it in 480P was absolutely rock solid even under the worst conditions. I can only hope that the dips you describe arent too commonplace.
That would be a pretty blockheaded move. Although I somehow doubt its true. Where did you hear this?
I'll try to track the info down, but what would be blockheaded about it? Performance would be identical on every console, which is part of the point of consoles.
I'm pretty sure thats what MS told people. However, I think Gamespot or 1up said they noticed that framerates in some game seemed to pick up when playing on a SDTV after playing on an HDTV.
