weird resolution problem on the 4870x2

actually ive been having this problem for quite sometime...but only decided to try search for a solution today..
basically i have a sapphire 4870x2 and it works great on everything except for thing.
whenever i install a new application be it a benchmark application like the vantage or games like crysis..upon the first launch of that newly install application, the resolution will go insane...its like having alot of flickering and ghosting altogether..it dun affect the performance as i have tested it with fraps..its just like the driver having problem deciding on the right reosolution to use..i have to manaully change the resolutions setting to solve this problem..now it plays fine in games..however it still have this problem with the 3dvantage as i have no way to adjust resolution for all the tests.even if i have set the resolution before i start the test..the problem will start once the graphic test has finish..meaning at the beginning of the cpu test the flickering and ghost will start agn..does anyone has similar problems?
 
I also have a Sapphire 4870x2 and the only time I have problems like you're describing is when I have my TV and monitor on at the same time and try to change resolutions or switch monitor mapping.
 
and i have notice one thing is that the flickering and glitch is only happening to the right side of the screen
the left side of the screen stay perfect
