Any reason what would cause me to gain +4 pounds in a day? Ive noticed this happen a few times but wasnt sure if it was my scale or what. Like this past week, on Weds morning I got on the scale 207.4. That night went to the gym, did my normal stuff, ate my normal stuff. The next morning I get on the scale and it says 211.5. I thought this might have been wrong so I tried a few more times with them all saying the same. I dont understand what could cause this sense I am very strict on my diet.

water weight, sodium bloat, etc

it's natural to fluctuate like that. weigh yourself 2x a month or something, it's pretty useless to weigh yourself daily.

If you weight yourself daily then doing it in the morning after you've taken a leak and before you eat anything, as i think it is your best bet to keep consistent.

I try not to do it everyday but I am so worried about my weight. After losing so much I do not want to gain any of it back so its just apart of my daily habit. I have trying to stop it so that I dont worry about it but hasnt happened just yet.

This is why you don't consider your weight based on one measurement. You should do a running 3-day average or something like that. It's way more indicative of your average weight. I have swayed 10lbs in one day without any changes in my body composition. It just happens sometimes.

Water? That's the best I can think of. It happens sometimes, I used to have this phase where my weight would change by 3-4kg in 2-3 day cycles, it was kind of strange. Everyone who needed to weigh me probably thought I was underestimating my weight to make myself feel better...
