It sucked to see WI do so well all year, and then toss the Rose Bowl away in suck a craptastic performance.

Wisconsin gave away the UNLV game last year too...

I think Auburn winning the SEC title game will jump them over Oklahoma - a win over Iowa St or Colorado isn't much of a win, while an Auburn victory over Tenn (?) is a good win....

I'm not 100% sure USC is going to beat ND - I'm not sold that USC is as good as they were last year. However, in all likelyhood we are going to have 3 undefeated teams going into the bowls....which I want to have happen - the calls for a playoff can only intesify, which is a good thing....

Imagine now if USC beats Oklahoma, but Auburn beats Cal or Texas in a different bowl game - how could you really say USC should be the champs instead of Auburn?

Georgia moved up 3 spots in both polls and BCS without playing, and after getting smoked last week. Texas should have lost to Kansas and Ok State...and got raped by Ok.... definitley should be behind the 2 non-BCS undefeated schools.
Louisville is also a team that should be up there... a 3 point last second loss to Miami away from an undefeated season, and the #1 offense in the country.

whoa what ever happened to SOS? Boise has yet to play a ranked team! Shouldn't they be ahead of Cal too ? I don't see how Texas is a fraud. I think Boise and Utah are frauds. Talk about a weak schedule.

Weak Schedule!?!
Utah took Texas A&M and slowly broke their bones one by one. Texas A&M took OK to the wire, is ranked, and will beat Texas on Friday.

True dat.

It's such a $tupid popularity contest with hidden agendas.

This whole BCS concept should be scrapped.

To make it fair to EVERY team that's good, a limited playoff system should be instituted. What some coaches suggested of there being a 4 or 8 team playoff after the Bowls should settle most all questions.....It wouldn't be perfect, for sure, but at least it would be FAR better in the fan's/team's minds about who really deserves the most recognition for the best season.

you're saying their schedule is strong because they played one team that had a good game against another team?

Ha! A&M weren't even ranked in week 1, so some point you made there. As far as this coming week, if Texas loses, then yeah, I agree that they don't deserve a bowl. But what if they win? They definately deserve to play in the Fiesta bowl, and not weak-scheduled Utah.

Utah also beat Pac-10 Arizona... and bowl bound North Carolina 46-16

Let me also mention that they have scored 40+ points 9 times this season 49+ points 5 times...and 62 points twice, defense has only given up 30 twice.

It doesn't matter where you're ranked at the beginning of the season, it matters where you're ranked at the end. To that end, Utah beat a ranked team.

thats only half true, because of A&M were #1, then Utah would have a much better ranking now, now wouldnt they? Your point is correct, but it means FAR less if they're ranked at the END of the season.

Ok? Utah beats a ranked team. Ok? The rest of their schedule was pretty weak. Arizona is weak. North Carolina is OK. The real story is not their OOCS but their CS. Their conference is pretty weak this year and it hurt them. Auburn is getting hurt by the same thing. I don't know about Utah, but Auburn couldn't help it that Bowling Green(who is fairly decent and Oklahoma played) pulled out, or that Clemson pulled out.

Oklahoma needs to lose, Assuming USC, Oklahoma, and Auburn win out, there isn't any other way.

Auburn is 3rd in all the computers, Oklahoma is 1st in all computers (throwing out the best and the worst, as the BCS does). Auburn would need to be a unanimous #1 in the polls to make up the computer difference. Since that absolutely won't happen they don't have a chance without one of the other teams losing.

Note that I'm not saying Auburn doesn't deserve to be ahead of Oklahoma, just that it can't happen with BCS system this year.

Looking at Texas' schedule...
Sat, Sep 4 North Texas W 65-0
Sat, Sep 11 at Arkansas W 22-20
Sat, Sep 25 Rice W 35-13
Sat, Oct 2 Baylor W 44-14
Sat, Oct 9 at (2) Oklahoma L 0-12 LOSS@!@@
Sat, Oct 16 Missouri W 28-20
Sat, Oct 23 at Texas Tech W 51-21
Sat, Oct 30 at Colorado W 31-7
Sat, Nov 6 (23) Oklahoma State W 56-35 Quality Win, were down big however
Sat, Nov 13 at Kansas W 27-23 Had to win with zero seconds left, Kanasa under .500

This schedule is nothing to brag about, they lost to a better team, and only beat one ranked team and almost lost at least twice.

Utah has never been even close to losing.

Utah didn't play the same schedule. Only two computers have them ahead of Auburn(one slightly) and the other is pretty stupid.

Auburn's schedule easily matches up with Utah's and is much tougher. Plus, does Utah have to play a Championship game? Again, I think it is BS that USC or CAL doesn't have to.

When did I mention Auburn?

Is it so unfair that Cal and USC have to play each other? Their matchup agaibst each other is tougher than any worthless Championship Game (which counts conference record only)
