This schedule is nothing to brag about, they lost to a better team, and only beat one ranked team and almost lost at least twice.
Utah has never been even close to losing.
Utah didn't play the same schedule. Only two computers have them ahead of Auburn(one slightly) and the other is pretty stupid.
Auburn's schedule easily matches up with Utah's and is much tougher. Plus, does Utah have to play a Championship game? Again, I think it is BS that USC or CAL doesn't have to.
They don't have to because they can't. I think the ncaa stipulates that to have a championship game, a conference must have at least 12 schools in the conference.

Under NCAA rules, conferences must have at least 12 teams to have a football championship game.
