My wedding song was "Me and You" by Kenny Chesney. Check it out. Make sure you listen to the words.

This CD is excellent, not good for those that don't like the Opera though

Is this all Italian? That would be cool cause I'm italian! is it all opera? that could get old fast...

Yes, the second cd is awesome too. I'm a big Pavarotti fan.

Louis Armstrong's Wonderfull Life is not country either....but is a great song.

Yes its all Italian? or yes its all opera? or yes to both?

Ok will do... actually I'm going to download all of these suggestions unless I've heard em and already dont like em. About 90% of these suggestiong (which are great!) I've never even heard of the band/singer.

Well to be honest we have completely different tastes in music. She likes country and boy bands (I know) and those two I really have a hard time listening to. I like more heavy alternative old school 90's music. Fugazi.. etc... stuff that wouldnt work for a wedding.
I think in the end you should just pick something she likes. I mean,... does this song really mean that much to you ?

Hey! it should! ;)
THere has to be some cute quirky song that both of you jokingly sing to!

or, just do a lyric search on google for love songs. if you find lyrics you like, find the song. at least you'll have meaning behind why you picked the song

You really can't go wrong with Frank Sinatra. Go out and buy a Sinatra greatest hits album, and just pick your favorite song.

Just a few other tips: make sure the song can be danced to. Some might sound great but be too slow or fast for a first dance song. Also, we chose a relatively short song because we are not great dancers. :)

The Bad Touch - Bloodhound Gang
my friend had me absolutely convinced that that would be his and his fiancee's song last weekend (long story).

Turns out, their song was "World on a String." They had a live jazz band, so take your pick as to whose version you prefer (there are dozens).

How about something really oldschool:

In The Still of The Night - The 5 Satins

My ex GF and I were deciding on a wedding song back in 1991. We chose Hysteria by Def Lepard. Its a great love song but a tad heavy for most people. But we both liked Heavy Metal and Hard Rock. The runner up was November Rain by Guns N Roses.
