any other reputable online sites ?
I would probably be more apt to purchase at a b&m site, just to ensure proper sizing.
Yeah, that's an issue with ordering from an online shop. Blue Nile offers a free ring sizer, and I got that (they send you a 15% discount code with the sizer).
I asked my girlfriend to size herself with it, and she came up with a 5. She also went to a bunch of shops and got herself sized as "less than a 5". Thinking I'd go with the ring sizer, I got her a size 5 engagement ring.
That was later exchanged for a 4.25 (they don't list it, but they have them) and then later exchanged for a 4.
The exchanges were free and they didn't cut the band to resize it, they remounted the stone into a new setting. It took just a couple of phone calls where the Blue Nile people were very polite, understanding, and they know their stuff. It took up time and sending the ring (diamond) back to them via registered/insured mail cost like $20 a pop, I think. Sending it back to me via FedEx was free.
I saved a
lot of money buying the diamond (thousands of dollars), and I got exactly the rock I want, so the extra effort in resizing has been worth it for me.
