You have to have the host role in the meeting. The host can go to the PARTICIPANT menu and then uncheck "entry and exit tones" Also if you have the WebEx plugin in outlook. The host can go to "Meeting Options" and turn it off before the meeting begins.Arrgh,
In a meeting with almost 300 people and they have the notification on.
Thanks
Can you tell who the host is? You should be able to do a private chat in webex to the host. You can tell the host to do it. They should be able to anytime during the meetingI sent them an email, they said they practiced but it didn't work. 🙄
The instructions in Viper's link say it can't be done during the meeting. Can you tell who the host is? You should be able to do a private chat in webex to the host. You can tell the host to do it. They should be able to anytime during the meeting
No it can be done by the host at anytime. The instructions in Viper's link say it can't be done during the meeting.
Webex works well. Almost all the problems we experience are caused by the user. People just don't take the time to learn how to use the platform.the real answer is get rid of webex

I think no matter what platform you use it comes down to your users being trained. No platform is foolproof.Apparently nobody at my company knows how to use WebEx, though we have been using it for years. People always need to be told to mute their microphones. 🙄
