I was making a logo for my site, when I export it into flash, the background is noticibly different. Does something get lost in the process? I export the pics as...#333333 and they are a couple shades off my flash movie bg of #333333. Could this be corrected?

HERE.
...the DCD logo.

Sorry I can't answer your question, but flash is getting rediculous these days and I think a plain and simple website looks 10 times better.

Maybe you should do all your logo design in Fireworks and that'll solve your problem...other than that, they may just have different swatches?

Your Flash animation uses 40% CPU usage on a 3.0 GHz P4M. That's ridiculous.

Check to see which pallette you're using, maybe. As in perceptual, custom, web, etc...

So, don't like it, close the window or disable the orbits.

I presume that you're building a portfolio to showcase your talents to prospective customers. I wouldn't hire a developer who's website brought my year-old computer to its knees.

site is also blocked here at work. but my suggestion would be to a preview upon export, also view the exported file before you put in the flash. you flash settings may also be messing with the picture colors.

That same design again? Man, everytime you post it you get lambasted over it.
There are Flash/HTML forums that would likely be better suited for your continued threads on this site design.

And yes, even on my AMD64 OCed to 2.8ghz your Flash is a resource hog.

You totally missed the point.

You should be making flash games, not flash websites. you're very good with flash, but nobody likes flash websites with very few exceptions. Your work is not one of those exceptions :p

Yes, my work likes to block alot of sites, oh well. It is either your settings in your flash that is changing the picture or the export process from PS isn't going smoothly

You need to. Your time would be much better spent designing something that people don't cringe at when they see. Not to say your skills aren't very good, because they are. It's just that people don't want to see an extremely complicated, CPU intensive website. They want something simple, elegant, and professional.

The sooner you get in to making flash games the better you'll be. Hell I'd venture to say that with a little more experience or classes or whatever, you could be doing things for major flash animation or flash game websites, possibly making money.

There's no money in flash websites.

The default setting should be the optimum. I'm guessing most people dont want a geocities website clogging up their resources, thus the default setting should be OFF setting and not the "let's see how many cpu cycles i can rape from your computer" setting

There are more than 1, your google-fu is weak.

Not to mention you don't need a NEW THREAD everytime you make some microscopic change.... just update one of your exsistng 20 threads
