Chrome from home and Dolphin from my phone.

I really, really wish FF mobile didn't suck so bad. I keep trying to use it but its got so many little bugs that it takes away from the browsing experience. Plus FF on my desktop is way slow compared to Chrome. I'm sure that's my fault somehow though...

Firefox. I use way too many addons that directly affect what hotkeys I use and things I do on screen.

Also just a lot of general utility add ons.

I've moved back to Chrome for a while and there are still some things that nag me.

The Ctrl+B, Ctrl+U shortcuts don't work to bold / underline highlighted text when composing a post.

When you point at a topic and the pop-up mini preview appears, it seems to appear at random locations frequently...and I'm left waiting for it to appear near my mouse.

...other annoyances:

When I copy a URL from the address bar, it's not copied as plain-text (!?)...so it effs up the formatting of some things you paste the URL into.

In other browsers, I frequently right-click a tab and press "C" to close when I'm using a mouse with an iffy middle button. My left hand is always on the keyboard and this is much faster than zeroing-in on the tiny little "x". With Chrome, this does not work. FYI, this works for title bars, taskbar buttons, and tabs in almost every application.

The icon doesn't have a large version, so it looks terrible on my Media Center PC with XL desktop icons.

It's annoying that I can rarely ever see a page title without pointing to the tab for pop-up text.

Some of your problems don't seem to be centered around an actual Chrome problem.

I can see how the URL bit might be an issue, but it doesn't take more than a paste/copy into something else to get plain text (like WinKey+R, paste, Control+A, Control+C, Esc). How often do you copy/paste URLs into a program where it would matter? Are you keeping a list of bookmarks in Microsoft Word or something? :p

To close a tab, press Control+W. Left hand, no mouse involved, much faster.

The resolution and screen size you choose are not Chrome's decision, so don't blame Chrome that you can't read text size or image size :p

All of my alt text comes up right next to my mouse in chrome, every time. Neener neener!!

Control+U is the shortcut to show source. I'm not sure if you can change that or not. However, if you're used to moving your mouse to right-click and close tabs, it shouldn't be too hard to control-select the text you want to edit and using your mouse to click the B/I/U buttons. Kinda a trade off for Control+W, isn't it, hehe. :D

Since you apparently use tabs quite a bit, have you found the Pin Tab function yet? It's pretty handy.

Been using Firefox since it first showed up and I have no complaints

Recently tried Opera 11 and Chrome 8 or whatever it was, and while they are faster in some things, they are slower in others... Which coupled with the familiar interface and add-ons etc, makes Firefox unmatched for me

I use both Firefox and Chrome. Chrome is used when I want to send texts with the Google Voice extension

So was I until I realized you can't disable cleartype on IE9 at ALL. Fuck Microsoft. I hate blurry ass fonts.

What's wrong with ClearType? It's not like it's some kind of fancy rendering technique. It's basically just anti-aliasing.

It looks like shit. It's like playing certain games with too much AA. Its just to weird looking.
You gotta be trolling. There's no way anyone could say that with a straight face.

Yup. I already use the Run menu to strip formatting countless times per day. Normally copied URLs don't include formatting...so it's extra work to remove it.

How often do you copy/paste URLs into a program where it would matter? Are you keeping a list of bookmarks in Microsoft Word or something? :p
Email with MS Outlook. Screws up the style / formatting if you paste without using the Run menu or Notepad to strip the formatting.

To close a tab, press Control+W. Left hand, no mouse involved, much faster.
Ctrl+F4 is still way more easy for me and more universal for Windows (Ctrl+W is awkward for some reason). Anyway, I do this ALL the time. I frequently find myself dual-wielding and right-clicking a half-dozen tabs and windows while tapping C, C, C, C with my left hand on the home keys. Sometimes alternately pushing other keys to mi[n] / ma[x] / [r]estore / etc. Often right-click, C is actually easier than middle-clicking. Works for title bars and taskbar buttons too.

The resolution and screen size you choose are not Chrome's decision, so don't blame Chrome that you can't read text size or image size :p
I don't have a problem with that. I complained that there's not even a place on the UI to show a full web page title. Tabs just aren't wide enough. I don't know a good way they could show the whole title without making the UI worse, though. There would be empty space that isn't always showing something useful. I think web designers are just going to have to reduce unnecessarily long titles.

All of my alt text comes up right next to my mouse in chrome, every time. Neener neener!!
You suck. ;) Anyway, most people probably wouldn't notice it anyway. I was talking about the feature that shows a mini-preview of the OP from a thread without actually clicking the thread. It happens just often enough to be annoying.

Control+U is the shortcut to show source. I'm not sure if you can change that or not.
I used to have the habit of submitting a post / edit with Alt+S before Firefox started conflicting with that shortcut. Then it could be done with something like Alt+Shift+S or Alt+Control+S (something like that). Still works with just Alt+S in Chrome...I like that.

However, if you're used to moving your mouse to right-click and close tabs, it shouldn't be too hard to control-select the text you want to edit and using your mouse to click the B/I/U buttons. Kinda a trade off for Control+W, isn't it, hehe. :D
Those aren't there unless you "Go Advanced."

Since you apparently use tabs quite a bit, have you found the Pin Tab function yet? It's pretty handy.
Yup. I like it too.

You really have never tried playing certain games with too much AA? It looks fucking weird. Stuff is just way too smoothed off and soft. Some rigidness is needed.

I mostly use Chrome, but on occasion I use Firefox to view XML files or IE for Sharepoint/Reporting Services.

 Thanks to you I now have bits of half-chewed watermelon up my nose.

What the hell are you talking about? 2x and 32x AA both sample the same area, 1 pixel. 32x is just more representative of the average colour in that pixel
