It started off raining most of the day and turned to snow around 4:00 PM. There is about an inch or two outside now. It just started to lightning and thunder. I haven't had a thunder snow in a long time.

This is really cool.

I'm about an hour and a bit away, just rain here... Thought I heard thunder earlier but haven't seen any lightning yet.

heh I came in here going "no way someone else in London!" yeah, its been awsome, my roomates are I have been watching it out the back porch.

In Oregon, we get a lot of pea sized hail storms with thunder, but that's about it.

I am watching it from my apt window.

there were actually a number of Londoners on AT. Some left, others post from time to time and at least one was banned (sonz70).

You haven't lived until you drive through the hilly section of Pennsilvenia highway (I86 I think) in the middle of pitchblack (3pm) thunder snowstorm doing 120 because you have to keep up with the big rigs.

Haven't had thundersnow in a few years here. Last time I recall was on opening day of hunting season. I'm in the middle of the woods, there's lightning and thunder, and all I could wonder is "where do I go? I'm under a tree everywhere I go?"

Grab a map. Lowest scale is best.

Then shake a tree.

Look real close at the map. If you can see the a tree shaking it's probably you.

There's another thread for neffing

Eeeek, just had a really good rumble of thunder here, amid some really heavy snow. 6-10" predicted tonight, another ~8" for tomorrow, and then more on Tuesday.

It hasn't snowed in miami in nearly 30 years. Let alone thundersnow.

I grew up outside detroit and still never saw thundersnow.

We do get some bitchin thunderSTORMS in sofla....

I usually see a thundersnow storm about once every five winters. Last year we had 3 in a 10 day period, so I'm probably good for he next 15 years.

It'd be nice to get some snow every once in a while... but alas, I realize I'm in the wrong part of the country for that.
