Why not a Steamroller based 8 core??
Well if they wanted to fit it in Orochi. AMD would need to port Steamroller to 32-nm SHP.Because they would have to design a whole new chip, instead of just binning one they already have.
Why not a Steamroller based 8 core??
Wonder what the price is for the 860K. Guess they are answering the G3258.
My bet is that 8370 is to praise the AMD enthusiasts.
My bet is that 8370 is to praise the AMD enthusiasts. But strategically talking is not a so smart move...
Seems its not a 8370, but a 8300 at 3.2Ghz base, 3.5Ghz turbo.
I wonder how they'd price that. If they can put it close to $125 I think it'd be a nice CPU, good upgrade for AM3+ owners who don't have a four module CPU and want an upgrade.
FX8300 is 3.3GHz base 4.2GHz turbo,TPU has a typo
Oh I see. Its not even a new product. But an old OEM product from 2012 it seems.

Excess stock perhaps.
