I am a moderator on Sudhian. The mods there have always been publicly known. There have been problems in the past with mods moderating their own threads (yours truly included), but, otherwise, I think it has worked out.

Once the initial shock and giddiness wears off here, we will wonder how things were ever the way they were before.

P.S. I was recently banned for one week (which actually lasted 10 days) without a warning or an explanation - which apparently is against the User Moderation rules). It was my first ban ever on any board. Now that there is this new era of openness on Anandtech, I would love to know why I was banned and why I was not unbanned after 7 days. I'll keep checking my PM box, but I am not going to hold my breath.)

If you had read the thread, assuming you can read, you would have seen the comment from the head Admin that we won't be going there.

Shouldn't the mods be be held to some kind of guideline to what they can post under their personal account? I'm all for speaking one's mind but I do also believe that a mod should be setting an example for all to follow.

Maybe being a supervisor has got me into that realm of thinking..

We already hold ourselves to a higher standard. That is why we were selected as moderators to begin with. And yes, we are being held to one now, and even more so since we are no longer hidden.
