Does this count as a mod quote?

I don't really care whether or not he/she was banned, I was responding based on you admitting that what is posted on these forums hurts you and causes you to cry. And my point was that there is a possible chance (given the number of people who post here) that there is someone else who might want to moderate who wouldn't have felt the same way you do. They probably also don't fear for their life on a daily basis.

I'm posting as myself,I'm not editing anyone's responses here.

you know what? freedom means I get to be free now too to complain,to piss to moan, not just you guys!!!!

Sigh... It's not that you can't, it's that you shouldn't. You were most likely made a moderator because you're an above average person on AT. You're free to complain, but I don't think it's right to call me or anyone else that kind of word. That's an attack on a person (or group of people) and at best it's not very polite.

What, and I'm not :(

Btw, my job is moving detainees via C17 and C130's to whoever asked. It's actually depressing me. Might have to make a post about it eventually.

If you are going to say she can't call someone a name then we need to make it so nobody can.

then ban those that do. moderator (both accounts) and others.

You know what, your location information and your pictures are a risk you choose to take regardless of whether you are an admin or a regular user. I could have my exact location all over my profile and get in a heated debate tomorrow and have someone come to my house and beat the living crap out of me. That's a risk. And being a moderator doesn't change that. If that is a risk we aren't choosing to accept, then everyone should have 2 accounts. Same goes for pictures, you post your picture with full knowledge that everyone on the internet knows how to use mspaint.exe. If you don't want people modifying your picture, don't post it.

Reread what Mark wrote. He said there is a difference between what you can do and what you should do. Being an elite member of the community usually means you use some self-control above and beyond other members. Which means if 5% of the community is calling people fucktards, you probably aren't one of them, you are probably part of the 10% of the community that isn't even using the word fuck. Although, I wouldn't hold that against a good mod, or even care, but it does show a certain... level of hate towards the group you are supposed to be a part of.

This was the reason for allowing the exception.

Was that because the member posted too much personally identifiable info, or because some nutjob had access to info that he shouldn't have?

I have your IP address, from TFNN. Does that mean I can find your house? No.

Perknose used to have enough personal information in his profile to find his address (full name and town)

So do I (normally). Won't be a pretty visit though.

not very polite? sorry but that was nothing compared to the pm's and email I've received over the years and had to remain silent about because of the hidden mod collective identity,my days of "taking one for the team "are over.

And this business of expecting us to be nicer to other members than they are to us is nonsense.I have a right to my thoughts and to speak plainly just so long as I do not mod a thread that I'm active in and I refrain from making moderator decisions involving people I actively dislike.I'm more than capable andable to uphold both aspects of that.

She just hates the Fscktards. The vast majority of the members here aren't Fscktards. For instance you aren't a fscktard and neither is waggy. Annoying, abrasive and whiney yes but definately not a fscktard;)

By the way, Geekbabe, perhaps you should have put spaces after your comma's when making moderator edits. It made it terribly obvious when you were the one making them. ;)

Have to agree on that point.

I guess time will show whether that emotional involvement is compatible with being a public moderator.

yes it does and those comments were directed towards a select group of folks who has nothing but hatred of me and after months, years of it I fully return the emotion.

Let's call a spade a spade shall we? under the old system I was a convient and handy scapegoat, didn't like being banned? didn't like what a mod said to you? well it must have been that feminazi ***** geekbabe! Lotsa of folks liked the system because I had to sit there and basically take it because not doing so would mean I was betraying another mod.It also allowed a lot of creeps to act the big man, saying things to me and about me that they wouldn't dare to if I were a man.

Well, there's a new system now and I won't tolerate the filthy almost illegal threatening pm's and other assorted garbage that's come my way here.I will continue to moderate as I always have, sign my name to my actions and stand accountable for them, but the abuse ends.

Now, that is gross... :(

Please, let's be truthful,I havent been a part of this group except as designated scapegoat for years. I've been a convient skirt for male staff to hide behind and for juvenille members to vent their hatred of their mothers on.I'm a middle aged women with the power of an edit button and that angers some beyond measure.

I'm sorry that you've been the recipient of hateful messages, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect an elite member's actions to be of a higher standard than the rest of the forum posters. I, and I'd expect most members, would expect it. I'm not questioning your ability to moderate, I just don't like being called names, and it appears that you don't as well.

Hehe, I'll almost give you that, it's a good attempt at an argument! I don't think someone else could say 'you *****s can DIAF' and then just claim they're talking about *****s. I think I'm bitter because you just made an arguement that I would :D.

I would never want to be a moderator. Well, I take that back, there are a few people I would have loved to have moderated since I joined. But people tend to forget that it's just a forum.
