The path we are on will not change at all.
If Mitt Romney is voted in as POTUS then things will not change at all.

Mitt will continue as Obama was doing or his life will be in danger by the globalists and the new world order types will show him what will happen if he does not listen.

Mitt Romney will not cower to Israel because in his faith he thinks Mormons are also jews and will laugh off an zionist party such as AIPAC.

Pressure mounts from the left. Maybe if he lightened up his anti-marijuana rhetoric and other religious conservative views. I do think a lot of people still freaked out that he is a mormon though.

He will run on his "I was right about Russia" bit while completely ignoring everything else he was wrong about. He certainly won't be able to run against Obamas economic record, since according to him, he'd get us to where we are now by 2016.

So yeah, let the idiot run! What's that saying? An idiot and his money will be soon parted (speaking of Romney and his supporters).

The GOP doesn't have any viable candidates. Not enough white males left that are stupid enough to vote against their own self-interests.

in related news,

"Done. Completely. Not only Mitt and I are done, but the kids are done. Done. Done. Done."

-Ann Romney, addressing speculation of a Mitt 2016 run.

the GOP's actually got a relatively-good field of candidates for 2016, unlike 2012 where all the top tier candidates were smart enough not to bother running against Obama.

Romney is a stuffed shirt, nothing more than a mouthpiece for corporate interests. He has no ideas of his own and no connection with normal American people.

But I wonder if they sort'a feel the same way with Hillary, or do they think that not running against an incumbent wipes out any advantage that Hillary has at the moment despite her apparent dominance of the field?

I have a strong hunch that those Hillary supporters that were left feeling denied and robbed due to Hillary's loss to Obama are going to be highly motivated from seeking retribution/restitution and will provide the foundation and momentum for a very strong run against any candidate the Repubs end up with in the general.

haven't heard much from Chris Christy. I guess he's laying low, hoping all that bridge stuff will just be a distant memory by the time the public has feasted on all the hilarious Bachtorumpalinhuckaby types that the GOP trots out for our amusement in the early stages of the primaries?

Hillary's already lost once, and I know for sure there are a couple democrats who will run on her left (potentially damaging her, even if she wins the primaries)

if the Republicans can nominate anyone half-decent, they may have a fighting chance. there haven't been many 2-term presidents who handed off a third term to someone else from their party, and Obama's not exactly the most popular guy in the country right now... Hillary could lose purely from Democrat fatigue.

Who are they? Jeb, Christy, maybe, can't think of any others.

as far as Republicans go, Jeb would probably actually make a half-decent president if he had any other last name. I don't see him running, though.

don't take this as any form of an endorsement of their politics, but I could see Christie, Bobby Jindal, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Paul Ryan, or Scott Walker all running decent campaigns... don't ask me how any of them would fare, but I'd say they're probably all top tier candidates compared to the Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, Donald Trump circus that was 2012.

he's a great "on paper" candidate who is his own worst enemy. lol

I give him the benefit of the doubt when he talks about being doped up on pain medication from back surgery in 2012, though.

the media forced him to be the republican nominee last time. He was not the best man nor the best candidate. This time around I can see them raising up him and Christie. Neither one would be able to take Clinton.

To be fair I sincerely doubt Hillary is lacking in closet skeletons that would equal or surpass Christie's bridge stuff if revealed.

But yeah barring some Dark Horse Republican candidate miraculously surviving the primaries, it's going to be Romney, Jeb or Christie. I think Jeb probably has the best chance of those three, assuming he can distance himself from GW.

Yeah, just like all of the other realistically viable candidates. :p Remember that bullshit line from Hillary about how the Clintons "struggled to pay their mortgages"?
