That's tacit approval of the last couple decades of Republican smear campaigns, no?

Not really, Republicans smear folks, no matter who they are, using any tactics they can think of, in pursuit of more power. The "lady" acted like a complete ass clown on national TV, and people are calling her on it. Is this one of those days where you can't quite grasp the difference?

I'd understand if people were smearing her idea. Instead they're smearing her personally. But I wouldn't expect you to understand the difference.

Great post. How many hours did it take you to put that retort together?

There is a point at which the "idea" reveals a lot about the person. Are you suggesting that a person can never be bad or worthy of condemnation, only their ideas can be? Stalin was an OK dude, he just had some really bad ideas?

And not to be childish, but she started it. If she can call me "anti-American", then you'll forgive me if I don't feel too bad saying she's an asshole and I hope she's looking for another job in a few weeks.

Retort? What? The fact that what you said is completely retarded? Yeah, that was really needed. You owned that all by your lonesome. Kthxbai.

How do you guys see how much money he has raised?
You can see here:

As good a political cause as I can think of. I just donated, and I would encourage all of you Democrats that want asshole Republicans out on their asses to do the same...maybe it will help send a message. And for you Republicans out there, is THIS really how you want people to see your party?

I gave him $25. I already give to three guys out of my own district, so I'm probably over-tapped out on contributions this year.

She's got a sizeable lead on him though. May be a hopeless cause. And all those brain dead Scandanavians up there.... ;) j/k

Even if Tinkle Boy doesn't win, the race has gotten a lot more interesting, and Michele Bachman may re-think any future campaign strategy.

Last I checked, neither of them are dogcatchers, much less United States Congressmen.

HuffPo:

What makes the incident even more bizarre is that Bachmann is in a close congressional race and just this past week offered warm words to the Illinois Democrat. "If the presidency would somehow go to Barack Obama, I would welcome him to the 6th District as well," she said after a debate. "As a matter of fact, I would put my hand on his shoulder and give him a kiss if he wanted to."

??? looks like someone can smell which way the wind is blowing, that she would embrace and kiss an anti-american terrorist!

Oh jesus what are you people crying about? Did anybody bother watching the full MSBNC clip? And not the dailypos clips on youtube? She questions the Ayers connection and he spends his 10 mins with her trying to get her to make broad statements about people? Something she refused to do. And then he throws a tantrum like a baby after she answers his question about if she feels her counterparts are anti-american by telling him that is his job, not hers.

This story got its 'legs' when people looked into this woman and found out what a wacko she is, as much as for what she actually said this time.
