whoa.....two different issues here...
I played College football, so I think I know what the game is like on the field....
In 97, they CLEARLY were hitting the QB excessively, the fault there lies with the officials who didn't throw some early flags on it...I think the QB was Wuerfuel (or however the heck you spell his name), and he took a severe beating....it worked too....he was clearly rattled...that was also one of the best defensive teams you will ever see in NCAA football..
I do agree that he tried to step on Grossman's hand, but you really can't twist someone's knee to the extent that it is injured by the way he tackled him..it wouldn't surprise me if he did try it, but I don't see it watching the replay
I think the BCS is going to take a lot of heat this year as far as who should play Miami in the Rose bowl...If Texas beats a surging Colorado team, and if Oregon Wins out, and assuming the winner of the Tenn vs Fla game only has one loss, it will be really difficult to justify the #2 team among those three..
that being said, it won't matter, Miami will win it all anyway..they really are loaded with talent, size, and speed..
Does anyone else see how bad Notre Dame's QB is at throwing the ball? I thought Bellisari was bad!
