I really do not think that I should have gotten any infraction for any of my statements in the post:

I did not find the second makers post offensive either, I think the 2nd poster simply posted that because of the title of the post (ie they were right for each other.) I do not see how he thread crapped at all, his post was not derogatory or rude. Which brings me to the point that I hardly see how my point could be considered offensive in any manner.

Heck if you read the third post - I agreed with him that the 470 was a good deal and that I was tempted to get them as well.

looked like a little joke to me. nothing wrong with humor but realize that some people don't have very good sense of humors or like to drama. try a "j/k" or something similar at the end of your posts next time.
i wouldn't worry about it, there are dozens of great tech forums out there if the extreme happens. i think i got baned for a month or 2 before, forgot about the site for quite a while after joining 3 others.
 
The OP's post was reasonable. Unfortunately the OP's history follow him around. A lesson for any Poster.

That said, IDC has been trying to clean Video up. So I think his Infractions are probably warranted. Although I chuckled at the first response.

Honestly I would probably be better off if banned.

My concern wasn't for that as much as for the fact that the bolded words under my post kind of give the impression that I was in some way being negative towards the OP, when in fact I was not. I was only chuckling at the imagery given by the 2nd poster - who in all fairness I think was also given a warning for doing nothing wrong.

Clean up video cards? A little bit of enthusiasm towards a goal can go a long way towards fanaticism. IMO there are far worse posts to worry about than mine. As stated in the post prior to the one that got me an infraction - I agree that his purchase was sound.

Anyways thanks for the replies, just frustrated 🙂

It'll pass. I recently received a 3 day vacation for posting a "Loopback link". First I was, "WTF is a Loopback link?". Then I was annoyed because that was not my intent as I just Copy/Pasted thread title, just for the text, but it also copied the link. Then I was all, "Whatever, see ya in 3 days".

You're right, thanks man. BTW that is pretty silly I think. Are there not enough trolls to deal with?
 
Glad to know I'm not way out in left field. I was feeling guilty for making the mods mad.

That said, wouldn't it be better to make a thread in the mod discussions? Of course, that wouldn't be nearly as fun...
 
Yea, I really meant my post as a joke, but also got an infraction. Anyone who has seen Wreckage's past posts will know that he's very, very pro-Nvidia. Oh well, no big deal, I know IDC is trying to clean things up... and in doing so couldn't tell if some of the posts might have been flamebait or something. Meh.
