Did all of you who got on this deal get the 2mb ata100 version like RONType1? I will definately go for it if it is pretty much guaranteed that its the 2mb ata100 version.

mosdef, your question is justified. On their page is an information that one might have problems on older motherboards which do not support the new DMA modes. However, there is a tool which allows to set the DMA mode down to lower ones.
Hope this helps

I ordered two of these drives when this post started, the orders were about a week apart. Both were the 2MB cache, ATA100 drives, shipped from the same store. I just ordered a 30GB, and this time added the Ultra100 controller. I'll know Sunday what it is.

I also got Maxtor 20GB ATA100 model (5400rpm, <9.0ms accesstime, 2MB buffer)
The SKU starts with K01- which makes it completely valid for current Maxtor Ultra ATA100 PCI card rebate.
Link Here

I just bought the card in my local Office Depot (just 1 left), which is closing. The card was 25% off at $37.50! (It seems they drop the price 5% per day :)

Basically, it will be like ~$57.50 for 20GB and ATA100 card.
Thank you for great deal!!

HELP WITH REBATE for hard drive and ata/100 pci card.

I got receipts from STAPLES but across it they say in big background red letters, "THIS IS NOT AN INVOICE"

So my question is that should I send these in or print the thank you for your order files that I saved when placing the order?

Send both just to make sure. I did. I usually put a little sticky note on the online receipt print, e.g. "original of online receipt", and on a copy of the packing list, e.g. "packing list to indicate delivery of item".
