400 civilian deaths in 14 days is very much in line with targetting civilians. That is at the rate of almost 30 civilians killed a day! Look up the 1992 ethnic cleansing in Srebrenica.

Would you keep box score for the American war against Japan? How many japanese civilians did America kill, vs Japanese killing of Americans?

Israel is not losing civilians because they actually care enough about them to protect them. If Hezbollah invaded Israel (somehow) you can be sure they would not care who they killed or raped or maimed.

Israel has caused a massive amount of infrastructure damage, true, but that they've limited the collateral damage to 400 civilians is way better than what any country ever did against any other country that attacked it. Think about it.

The Israeli Air Force has carried out more than 4,500 sorties(!) over the skies of Lebanon. Had Israel indeed targetted civilians, the number would have been 400,000. Actually, if you consider the number of sorties in relation with the number of civilians killed, you get the real picture: Israel is trying very hard not to hit innocents. IDF sends in ground troops in small amounts into the village of Bint Jbeil which the biggest Hezbollah stronghold near the Israeli border, instead of erasing it off the face of the earth. The locals have already left after Israel had dropped warning leaflets - at the same time informing the enemy the "place" and "time" so it can prepare itself for the incoming battle. Hezbollah forces civilians to remain in a certain place so that Israel will not be able to harm it... they use all the dirty tricks in the book, and when civilians do get killed (because even the IDF is not a perfect military as we would like it to be) nobody cares for the effort Israel has invested in the blood of her children. But as your name suggests, I wouldn't expect you to understand any of this.
