Probably the only moon going to be seen is Saddam's butt sticking up when he
sticks his head under something when the "rain" starts........

IN THE KUWAITI DESERT (March 19, 8:02 a.m. AST) - Fifteen Iraqi soldiers Wednesday crossed the border into Kuwait and surrendered to U.S. troops, a U.S. officer here said.
The 15 were handed over to Kuwaiti police after putting down their arms and giving up, said Captain Darrin Theriault, headquarters company commander of the First Brigade of the U.S. Army's Third Infantry Division.

The surrenders came amid a 48-hour ultimatum given by President Bush to Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein to leave his country by early Thursday or face a massive attack.

"We anticipate more (surrenders) as this continues to develop," Theriault told AFP. He stressed that the Kuwaiti police had custody of the Iraqi soldiers and "no enemy prisoners of war are under U.S. control."

The United States and Britain have some 280,000 troops in the region readying an invasion of Iraq after Saddam rejected Bush's warning to quit the country. About 174,000 are in Kuwait.

Ummmm????

Please post a link to that info. As far as I know no UN personel are in Iraq in large enough forces to secure beach heads.

here is one

According to Sun Tsu, whichever side is better at deception will win the war. Remember how we faked the Iraqi's last time? It's all deception man! I'm not saying your information is not true, but you'll be seeing lots of propaganda on CNN for the next several weeks. Hussein is known to be a CNN addict.

If they started right after the last quarter started it would maxImize their time of waning darkness before the first quarter and new moon appeared. I say March 24th or 25th.

My opinion. It would make sense for the military to go in on April 1 - New Moon

Harder to see aircraft, etc...
That's too darn long to wait. New moon or no moon, it's time to roll.

mmm..other than the fact:
"When Bush's ultimatum expires, around 8 p.m. ET Wednesday, virtually the brightest moon of the month will be hanging over Iraq throughout the night, which is not considered ideal for the U.S. military which "owns the night."
