My point obviously went way over your head. Sci-fi movies aren't supposed to play by the rules that we know. That's what makes it interesting. You could break down any good movie and point out its flaws. This movie wasn't meant to be realistic and though provoking. It was supposed to be an entertaining action film, and I know I was entertained.

i thought it was an ok movie, some of the action is not bad, the music rocked. got a lot of funny moments. the bullet bending got to me a little bit, but thats ok.

the movie for some reason didnt do well at all, jolie and freeman werent even at the premiere for some reason. ah well...

He beat me to the reply, but he's right. The Matrix was a completely different world, defined by different rules. This movie was set in our world with our rules (physics) so it's not really an equal argument

Nothing is worse than people that argue about how scenes in movies aren't realistic. The overriding point here is that arguing about realism in movies is silly.

Do you complain about Die Hard? The Bourne movies? Bond? I really can't think of a single movie that is without some form of fantasy or suspension of physical law.

It's a movie. It's entertainment. If you want accuracy, watch the Science channel (and even they get it wrong sometimes).

This. Thankfully, I saw it at an advance screening and didn't have to pay anything for the displeasure. It hardly resembles the graphic novel upon which it is based.

I don't understand these complaints. The previews had the bullet bending in them. The previews made it very clear that this was going to be an action movie with little substance but some cool action scenes. And that's all it was. You guys complain like you went to see LOTR and were surprised by all the hobbits.

I'm not normally the one to pull the "that's not realistic" card, but for me bending bullets was too far for me to suspend disbelief. There are plenty of movies that aren't realistic (John Madden moment there) that I love. Bourne and Bond being two of them. Like Jason Bourne's ability to never getting hurt no matter how bad the car crash. The whole Storm Trooper effect in every action movie ever. Bond's captors always leaving him to an elaborate death which inevitably allows him to escape. There are a zillion of them, but for me bending bullets was just too much. But of course, that's just my opinion.
