Umm okay, and your question is what? If you're learning how to do it, then Google is your friend.

Unless you are going to do heavy duty analytics, I wouldn't bother.

SAS is a very good program to learn if you plan to do Statistical Analysis.

Not the best if you are just doing data pulls

Cody, R. P., & Smith, J. K. (1997). Applied Statistics and the SAS Programming Language (4th edition).

i've heard this is a good book to learn SAS, but i haven't read it myself

Yes, if only plan to do very simple task than SAS prob is too much, it is good for doing more complex things like Multivariate and Categorical Data Analysis, like Multivariate Regression, and Logistic Regression.

Wow that is still around? I used to use that when I first started out on mainframes running IBM OS/MVS. If it is the same thing it was pretty easy to pick up just by using the manuals and working with it.

We have a Unix version at work and they are trying to purchase the Windows version.

I am a stat minor (completed) and when we did SAS, all we had was the professors huge packets he would give us. This guy was like a caveman and was very old school. I would recommend a book, but we all looked and couldnt find jack. Sorry
