want to learn how to use SAS

I will be learning how to use it later, but I guess I will be better if I start learning it by reading.

SAS is a Statistical Software Package. We used it in my class.

What class you taking that uses SAS.

Not the best if you are just doing data pulls

i've heard this is a good book to learn SAS, but i haven't read it myself

Yes, if only plan to do very simple task than SAS prob is too much, it is good for doing more complex things like Multivariate and Categorical Data Analysis, like Multivariate Regression, and Logistic Regression.

Wow that is still around? I used to use that when I first started out on mainframes running IBM OS/MVS. If it is the same thing it was pretty easy to pick up just by using the manuals and working with it.

We have a Unix version at work and they are trying to purchase the Windows version.

I am a stat minor (completed) and when we did SAS, all we had was the professors huge packets he would give us. This guy was like a caveman and was very old school. I would recommend a book, but we all looked and couldnt find jack. Sorry
