What we need:

A banner. I'm not an artist, so if someone with some good Photoshop skills can make us a team banner that is no larger than 500x300 pixels - 50 KB, that would be cool.

DARRIN has extended an offer to us to have a forum over on gamemecca.net. Head on over there and register. Once we get enough people, we'll be set. It also might be a good way to recruit some new members.

I'm pretty new too. I'm willing to do whatever work I need to.

I just have to know *what* to do. Is it as simple as putting [AT] infront of your name? I'll see what I can find out.

What do we have to do to set this up officially? I've never been in an online clan before

I have a little webspace that I can host a site on. Do we have to assign roles (like sniper, medic, etc)? I'm not sure how this works, but I don't mind organizing it.

I have and online CLAN (Day Of Defeat thou) here is the site www.ukfs.delvar.com.

to set up the CLAN basicly all you need is to set up a site, play on CLAN servers and as them for a CLAN game or you can set up your own server so you can practice and create Tactics

Yep, great game. Too many cheaters, but hopefully that's fixed when it hits retail in a week.

Yeah, you're right. I was raring to buy it, but now my enthusiasm is getting killed off. When you've got organised clans of tkers and cheaters before a game is even released it kind of makes you negative.
Still, I'm hoping they pull off an unbreakable real version, because the mp demo shows so much potential. Time to fire it up again!

How can you cheat? I didn;t know that! That's way I stopped playing SOF II (which I love)

The game's been out for like 6 months. What do you mean by "hits retail"?
And now that the wall hack is fixed with the 1.31 patch, there really aren't any cheats that work.

Anyway, I'm interested if anybody will set up a server. Or maybe AT would be interested in sponsoring a server in their name. It would be good publicity guys.

Yeah. We need a name. Something that would kind of let people know who we are, but with out using the name.

Seems like we could call ourselves that if the website had a disclaimer that our site was in no way affiliated with Anandtech. I mean there are a lot of fan clubs that aren't sponsored or authorized by the person they are fans of and they can use their names.

Shanti- You obviously did not read what I wrote very carefully. I was talking about Vietcong, not Battlefield 1942.

I wish I would join but i cant. My battlefield 1942 got messed up with latest patch. I even cant reinstall.. dammnn unless anyone knows the trick...

If you can't reinstall, I think that more than BF1942 is messed up. It might be time to reformat.
