But are they planning on having it on the ETA date that has been on their website since last night??? That is the second question you ask once they tell you they dont have them in stock...Then the third question is conditional...A) If they do plan on having them on the 5/30 date then ask them HOw much, where, and why have we not seen or heard any other sites talking of may release dates.....B) If they dont then you berade them on false advertising, and this as a ploy to get ppl to come to the webpage. let them know in a matter of days we can crush what little image they thought they had with false tactics....

first of all, i was late to work and didnt have much time to do all that, since it took a bit longer than i thought since i couldnt find their exact location

second of all, i wasnt that axious for all that info since i wasnt a candidate in purchasing one at the time of release

all these questions can be asked/answered with a simple phone call anyways =D

I mean if all you asked them was do they have them, then there was your waste of time...This thread last night posted that the webpage had changed and showed their ETA was 5/30 and they did not have them in stock....At the same time they added the 4400+, 4600+ and 4800+ to same list....

I dont think it was too much to ask that we could have gotten a decent question asked....

I will call them tomorrow...I just figured this could have been handled by now!!!

the update you are talking about was only for the 4400, 4600, and 4800

the main question was because the 4200 did not say eta 5/30, so thats what i mainly checked on

As of last night around 7:35 PST I pointed out that they added the 3 and they ALL said 5/30/05...They all said it...I knew they likely didn't have them but what was more intriguing was the potential they may seriously have them in 2 weeks and the X2 launch was going to be much sooner then we have been lead to believe....

The 4200+ as of last night around 7:35 at least said 5/30/05...I even PM'd Zebo about it when I read it....

Let me clarify cause it came out wrong...I would not use "false tactics"...I was merely saying they were building an image based on false tactics and we make sure their name was mud.....I have used this threat a few times against tech support ppl from companies, and 1 or 2 companies I wont name to stand up and do the right thing....Being an "elite" or even "diamond member" plus on one of the largest ardware forums in the world has some pull...Some of those companies can live or die by the image and word of mouth we create or do not create for them....

I was here when newegg was like some new company most hadn't bought from...Look at them now..usually in the top 3 companies anyone recommends....

These companies better conduct themselves honestly or we will bury them.....

I just went through the Sparco.com debacle on the San Diego. When I found out they were pulling this crap, I spent half a day cancelling my order and getting my $ back, and I took the appropriate dump on their reseller ratings, and would advize everyone not to buy from SPARCO

Rumors are rampid...This site makes us think end of may...ONe of the internet news reports had a week or so back announcing OEm wil have them by June...others have suggested 3Q to 4Q....so I mean who knows yet...I think AMD is going to surprise us. They have pulled back the FX57, cancelled the 4200+ a64 and got the opteron dual cores out months ahead of schedule....

I think AMD wants to match INtels "real launch" of their dual cores which are becoming more available here in a few weeks....

Well that's it, I'm getting in the Delorean and bringing back a 10Ghz AMD X18, 1TB with windows shoehorn..oh and a case of nookie brown.

On the phone with them now....

sales person seemed nice answered all of my questions.....

They have 3 main vendors they buy from and she confirmed with others there that one of the vendors has told them they may have them at the end of this month but could be delayed a few weeks in a "venice type" of delivery.....Not all of the vendors have done this just 1 of them....

Anyway you look at this other the vendor is smoking something or being way to optimistic and is a few weeks off...I still think this is great news as the launch of X2's in the retail market for us fools is going to possibly be end of 2Q, early 3Q and not the 4Q gloom we have heard....


She said call them back next week (beginning) and she if the vendor has changed his arrival date....She said if he did it likely will have to be first part of next week....

They fully expected "dual core" X2's...I went through this slowly and she seemed to understand well what they were....I dont think this is a misread on their part. they maybe putting blindfaith in the vendor.

I did ask why she thought they were the only ones qouting this yet and not official launch partner sites like Newegg and/or Monarch...All she could say is they are uncertain of date cause perhaps other vendors did not give same timetable or not rushing out yet waiting to see if there will be a a few weeks delay....She seemed to be well aware of the slow venice delivery date to and from vendors....


I think next someone should talk to monarchjoe and see what he has heard from his vendors even if it was a faint whisper...

I talked to Joe already, he told me AMD reps told him June.
