Wannabe parking vigilantes

/minor rant thread

So I'm coming home from work today, park my car (parallel parking in a street spot, I live in a city) and when I get out of my car this guy nearby starts yelling how I hit the car behind me. I didn't feel anything while parking but I'm a little concerned so I get out & check both bumpers. Not a scratch.

I figure all is well & tell the guy that I didn't feel anything and there's no damage to either car. Instead of being satisfied by this like a normal human being he starts going on about how if I couldn't feel anything I should get my license revoked, I'm a danger to others around me, etc etc. I'm starting to get a little weirded out but I ask him to point out any damage he sees on the other car. He ignores my question & is going on and on about how he saw the other car move, how reckless I am, and now how he's going to call the DMV (huh?) on me.

At this point I'm fed up and tell him again to point out any damage he can see on the car (which isn't his BTW) and to leave me alone if he can't. He says something about how he can report me to the DMV because he's a teacher (double huh?) how he's going to give the other guy my tag number, etc etc. At this point I walk away as he keeps ranting, although in hindsight I wish I'd taken a couple of quick cell phone pictures just to cover my ass & prove that he's full of shit. /rant off

Not sure how this is a P&N thread...other than it being a semi-mindless rant...😛

You DEFINITELY should have taken pics of both vehicles before you left.

you should have pointed your cell phone at him like you were recording and said 'i'm gonna put your dumbass on youtube'

Just a partially related story,

I have taken to leaving notes on large vehicles that take up more than one spot clearly labeled "Compact". The note just apologizes (for nothing specific) and says that it (again nonspecific) probably wouldn't have happened if they hadn't parked their huge vehicle in a compact spot.

It's just psychological, but I feel it's due.

He is right, you are a danger and should have your license revoked.

If there was a child around the child would be no more.

Think of the children.

Pebbles under the valve caps is more satisfying ;^)
