Polaroid Flat Panel 15" LCD TV - $194.00

I'm not getting my hopes up, but does anyone think this might be HD?

I went to Polaroid's website and the only 15" LCD they had listed was an HD one, so...

Anyone have any info on this: 20" Flat Screen TV / DVD Player Combo. I would like to buy it now, and hope to get it on Black Friday, and return the original one.

I wonder what the quality is like.

It probably weighs about 50 lbs and is made by monkees in Mongolia!

Do not buy Cyberhome DVD players. They have a habit of dying with months of first use. Google cyberhome and see for yourselves!

welp, my wife has been begging for a laptop for about a year now and it just hasnt been affordable. This laptop deal sounds pretty good. But judging from teh rumormill that there may be others as well at this pricepoint on BF, I will just have to keep my ear to the rail. But really, if there are ANY 1/2 way usable laptops at this pricepoint, I may (perish the thought) even stay in line for one... something I have NEVER done on a BF.

I couldn't find the 23" tv on their current site, in fact a 23" in not a common size (I think).
Thought I would pick it up for a cheap bedroom set. Maybe I'll head out there this weekend to see if they have one on site.

So how "good" is the video chipset on the laptop? Would something like this be too crippling to play something like HL2 with low settings above 30fps? ..mind you I used to play HL1 @ 800 x 600 or something with 30fps and I was happy as long as I could play...

Also..what time does this start when the Walmart is 24 hours?

If not..this will replace the gf's dying Toshiba!

Why are people getting so excited about this ? All this year, BB, CC, CUSA and OD have had laptops with similar standard configuration for $499 AR.. At 6.5lbs, its not even light. Just think of this laptop as a BF special only with an extra $100 off. If the pricing is there to stay, thats a different thing as it sets a new low for lappys. However, if its a one time BF special, then thats just what it is. Chances are other retailers will have similar specials as well for BF. What is so exciting about it ?

The same thing that's exciting about a $499 laptop... only $100 more exciting.

This sounds true to me. I got one for my sister last X-mas, trying to save a buck and knowing she wouldn't care about one brand to another. It died after about 3 months or so.

Of course in the replacement parts section of the manual we find more interesting (and contradicting) information.

It uses DDR1 not DDR2, and it appears the 40GB harddrive is 5400rpm.

Cool! I want the laptop, so I'll probably do my normal "Buy on Wednesday, pricematch on Friday" technique so I don't have to wait in those crappy cattle lines at the registers
does that really work !?!

My gf just got a v2410 on a deal through OfficeDepot (FedEx lost the $399 after rebate laptops, so they gave us what they had in the store for cost) ... basicly the same laptop with different options.

It can play Q3, BF1942, and Warcraft3 great. It's not a high end video card ... but you can play some good games on it even if they are a little older.

I haven't tried anything like HL2 or Doom3 ...I don't imagine it would play either well.

Wal-Mart supposedly will have a 42" plasma TV (likely EDTV) for $997. Don't have specs yet.

Edit: May be regional because they put the TV where there used to be a 15" LCD. This would be the case if they have different ads for different markets.

Edit 2: They deal site removed the ad scan, but it is still listed on their website at blackfriday.gottadeal.com
