Looking/not looking forward to the last episode.

This game is exponentially better than the tv show...that may be because "you're" actually a character and form "bonds" which forces you to make decisions in game.

It's just extremely well written, I'm not ready for it to be over but also don't want it dragged out. Bleh, it's Mass Effect all over again...I just hope we don't get a shitty ending this time!

I have a feeling the ending will be dramatically different based on who you were nice/rude to. I like
how in the last episode your choices on who to save and who to let die really mattered, unlike in episode 3 where if you were mean/nice to whats her face it means fuck all because she just leaves no matter what and carly/nerd guy gets shot in the face no matter what. That was a low point in the game for me because it felt like none of the choices I had made mattered, and I should've just sided with Kenny the whole entire way.

Same with me.
In fact, I completed to the end of episode 3, but the fact t hat carly died didn't sit well with me. So I did a rewind only to find out that you have no chance at all to save carly. So now I have to replay the whole episode for nothing. Haven't gone back to it yet.

It's out on steam now. I finished the final episode and was a bit dissapointed by it. I wasn't keeping track of time but it seemed to be only half as long as the other episodes. I thought the conclusion ended up being so-so:
I didn't have a problem with Lee dying but the lack of a real epilouge hurt. When Lee died I actually thought that since I was only 90 minutes or so into the episode I'd end up controlling Clementine after Lee died and finish the game that way. But then the game just ended. The brief scene after the credits with Clementine wasn't a satisfying conclusion for me.

Still, I recommend the series for those sitting on the fence whenever it ends up on one of the holiday sales.

=[ When Lee tells her he's gonna miss her and makes her shoot him... the look on her face and all the lip quivering was heartbreaking... The epilogue was optimistic at least, but I assume they couldn't show her finding Omid & Christa because not everyone chose that...

The game was amazing. I don't think any other medium has made me care about a fictional character so much.

This series had the best storyline in a game that I have seen for a long time. I didn't even bother playing the games- I just watched game play on youtube to watch it like a movie. I was not crazy about the ending, but obviously it was set up for the continuation of the series in 2013.

I actually liked the ending. I think it turned out really good. Although I would like to know the girls story from that point on. Hopefully that comes in the second season.

So I think I will start this game up soon as I wade through my Steam backlog (finishing up Legend of Grimrock right now). I hear there are some issues with game saves down the line that can be resolved with some customized duct tape process.

What do I need to do before I start my first new game in order not to have to deal with that problem? Thanks in advance. Sorry if it is mentioned in this thread already, but I want to avoid spoilers and didn't bother to look.

I think I'm going to wait until this is 75% off or so. Might not be for a few more months, but I can wait. Plus I think GOG might get the game early next year.

I'm definitely buying this, but I'm waiting until all of the episodes are out. If I don't play them all back to back, I'll forget what happened.

This happened to me in the Mass Effect series.......

Who did I save again?
Wait, I thought I banged you...
WOAH.... She's dead? OH yeah...

To anyone who hasnt bought this game and is thinking of it. Be aware the game is riddled with problems that the developer is NOT fixing. Just view their official forums and you will see.

Me personally? I bought the game on steam and cannot save game, ever. It will always restart me from the begining the next time, even though my save game files are there. Tried many work arounds..Not worth it at all, going to be charging back this purchase to my CC.

Don't be surprised if you lose your Steam account doing that.

Yeah this happened to a friend of mine, chargeback on CC and steam pulled his account, which was totally a waste of time because he buys each game on a new steam account so only the one game which he charged back was effected. Steam support sure aint bright sometimes.

Also to poster above you i have herd the same thing that TWD is full of unresolved bugs being ignored, if i do purchase it i will do so with a seperate steam account just for it so i can chargeback if needed.

There's an issue where it loads up with the opposite choices you picked too..however it saves your game in 2 places and for some reason one is right, one is wrong. I ran into this going into ep2. You can just copy the save over. On EP4 now..great game!

It's painful to hear about people having save game issues. I played the disc for PS3 and made it through the whole game without any issues. Beautiful story.

Just finished this. I can't say enough positive things about this game. Even my wife watched the entire time I was playing and enjoyed it.

I just finished this game. I can honestly say that there hasn't been any game in recent memory since FF VII that gave me this emotion or even cared for the main characters as much. It may not be the game of all games, but it was definitely worth the journey.

I just finished episode 5. Ho. Lee. Shit.

I haven't been that moved by a game in... like ever. Absolutely spectacular ending.

If I was anticipating any game right now, it would be a sequel to this. And to think I was all zombie'd out.
