It was actually rather entertaining to go to the social media pages of EVERY SINGLE "walkaway" claimer and post their years of right-wing political posts showing that they were, in fact, right-wing all along.

It was even more entertaining to see how fucking gullible people are.

The GOP has gone full batshit with conspiratard and absurd propaganda and discovered that fooling some of the people all of the time is a good political strategy.

Yup, I was pretty big on Bush until the entire Iraq debacle fell a part and it turned out Saddam was a giant waste of lives and resources. I leaned left, I thought Obama did a much better job than Bush and felt he caught a lot of flack from the right that wasn't deserved. Then I was neither for Hillary or Trump coming into this election, I felt she was a puppet and crooked as can be, but I still leaned left. Then the ugliness of the left came to light when Trump won and I've been pushed away from them because of it (not to mention that the left has really gone full retard as of late).

And while I lean one way or another depending on which party is doing better at the time, I really am a non-partisan type. I thought Obama wasn't bad, I think Trump is doing well. See?
So you are a bandwagon political "fan?" Depending on which team is doing well, that is who you like?

I personally vote issues. I am a moderate and don't care for a lot of the stuff on the far left and agree with some of the right's (claimed) ideas, but I agree with democrats on more issues than Republicans (especially since Republicans only pay lip service to most stuff they run on) so I vote democratic more often than not.

I used to be very much a Democrat. Since the Trump election I've seen what they're really about though, they ARE the racists and will create racism where it was not before as needed to fit their narrative.
Yep, looks like large numbers walked away from the party of racism last Tuesday.

I leaned Dem and would have voted Dem had they run anyone but Hillary. Things turning out how they have I would have still found my way to Trump. As I sad, I think Obama was better than he gets credit for, I think Trump is doing a good job too. Is that partisan sounding to you?

So, you're a Russian Fake news believing moron on top of just being a moron in general.

I find this thread very amusing.

Speaking of people who supposedly walked away what happened to all the black people who now supposedly love Trump? I was told repeatedly that was the case.

That seems so... small?
I never heard of the movement, hoax, cult, whatever you want to call it until it was mentioned here a month or two back. To me, it's pretty much the same thing as folks who make a big deal out of leaving a forum, just go. No one cares why you're leaving, no one is going to join you in a display of solidarity. The celebrities that say they're moving to Canada if X gets elected is the same thing. Don't talk about it, just shut up and go. Anyone who cares will notice.

Are they supposed to make an announcement so we know who they are? Is there some official place where their feelings for Trump are recorded? We're probably talking about tens of people here, does it really matter?

This was funnier and sadder than when someone makes an ‘I’M LEAVING FOREVER’ forum post. This was a bunch of conservatives pretending to be liberals leaving the Democratic Party. The only people they fooled were each other though so it just ended up being a bunch of right wing people lying to each other about being liberals.

I was thinking mostly of the exit polls that showed African American support for the Democrats at the same level it always is.

Conservative media and the easily duped on here tried to make a thing of it over the past year where they claimed Trump’s support among black people was skyrocketing and that guaranteed his re-election. This appears to be another case of conservatives making up lies that only other conservatives believe.

The reality is that unless it was a couple of million people that did it all at once, I wouldn't notice or care. Even if it was five million my response would be "that's nice".

And even if they did they wouldn’t be posting on twitter about it. It was just a way for insecure people to validate their beliefs by convincing themselves there was some mass movement towards their position.

I thought it was pretty much accepted that the vast majority of blacks were democrats. Why would they suddenly become Trump supporters?
Shit like this is why I live under a rock. It doesn't matter to me. It doesn't matter at all. It's a lame ass attempt to prove something no one is going to believe. It just makes me tired.
I want everyone to clutch at their own straws, and not try to talk me into grabbing on as well.

If millions were suddenly adopting my position, I'd reevaluate. If it started with social media, I'd know I was wrong without even thinking about it.
Mobs are stupid. As crowd size increases average IQ decreases. Social media is the ultimate in mob mentality. Yes, I really am that cynical.

No joke, people on here said it was because Kanye liked Trump.

Trolls trolling trolls trolling trolls. These circle jerk threads are why there is little actual discussion.
I didn't think this one was bad at all.
Politically, I'm about as far from Jhhnn and the spy as is possible, but we still manage to chat without getting angry. I'd buy either of them a beer and dinner any time.

The entire topic of the post was a clear troll. Jhhnn is above average I guess as far as those that give a half decent reply, but that is like saying you're above a D average.

The only left leaning person here worthy of a beer is fskimo. Regardless of the topic or discussion he will at minimal give a post with valid arguments instead of just troll statements.

(But to be truthful, I'll buy any lefty here a beer. Currently in Chicago for work anyways so I'm probably surrounded by them if any are out here)

It really works better in actual crowds, like a Trump rally. He's the master of stupidity.

Which gets us into the "black leader" thing. I have a sore spot where that concept rubs me the wrong way. Are we supposed to think every black person in the country checks with Al Sharpton before they form an opinion?

Kanye isn't a leader. He's just an entertainment industry celebrity. People made the same mistake about Trump.

Really? Then where are your entries of racist behavior by black Democrats during this election towards white Republicans solely based on them being white?

I started a thread that has ZERO entries. Just in case you wanted up update us.
