Walk Out at my school To save this janitor from getting laid off

Okokok.

So there's this janitor at my school named Jimbo (no joke thats his Given name.

So anyway, my school is forcing him to leave by making him take the night shft, which he cant do, because he has 10 school age kids!

He's a real nice guy too, always helpng you out if your locker jams or something.

So almost the entire school is leaving class an hour early tomorrow in protest.

Sound like a good idea?

If the whole school does it, I doubt more than 10% of the people care about the janitor. Sounds like a good excuse to get out of class early though.

I don't know, no one does, its just really mean. There are plenty of other Janitors they could lay off, that don't get the onconvience of trying to feed 11 mouths from the street.

get the local TV or paper to cover it, otherwise the school may just come down hard on everyone that walks out. (they probably will anyway)
 
If the whole school does it then it would work. The problem is that people in high school are generally too stupid to understand that if the entire school walks out they will not suspend/punish everyone. 😛

one person in your school's parents must own a company. That would be a lot more productive then an early dismissal.
 
Walk out won't do much besides irritate a few people, particularly if you only miss an hour of school.

Now, if you walked out right in the middle of the day and invited the local paper/news station down to cover it, you'd see how fast the school board would turn around.

At my university of 2000 people the dean of students knew EVERYONE'S name. I sh*t you not.
I predict that lasts 1 day and then everyone will go back to their normal highschool idiocy and forget all about this guy.
