Anytone who thinks that store clerk is a career/way to support a family is a fool at best.
It's interesting to hear comments like that, and then turn around and hear comments about how great Wal-Mart is for our overall American economy, how it "creates jobs", how a large, sucessful corporation, somehow magically is a great asset to the economy/community, etc., when the reality is far, far different.
If those jobs are indeed not a viable way to earn a living, then those "jobs created by Wal-Mart's success", are essentially a lie as well, as they are actually creating a lower-class made up of slave-wage earners, with their health-care (and other social/health services) being provided by state welfare, because they cannot afford otherwise with their current job.
Wal-Mart is essentially the corporate version, of some undocumented immigrant, that comes to this country, applies for welfare, and then ships most of the money that they get back to their home country.
