i was trying to return my gamepad and first they asked me why i'm returning? so i told them i don't like it. and they kept asking me is that the only reason? and then c/s told me to wait. she broght another worker and he was checking the package and told me instruction was missing and didnt gimme a refund. asked me to bring the instruction paper.
kinda hassel compared to target.
i think they are just gonna put my gamepad on the shelf.
becareful and check what you are buying. it might be openbox or returned.
camt trust walmart anymore.

i probably gonna never shop at walmart anymore.
i found the instruction paper.. gonna return it soon.

* i think walmart shouldn't ask me the reason for returning.
i just wasted 30 min + gas to go to wal mart..:(

Maybe if they want to sell it as used, they could still do with instructions, might be able to get a higher price if people have instructions.
Or maybe they just expect all of the gamepad + box + etc to be returned, which includes instructions.

A) Wal*Mart doesn't sell used merchandise
B) AFAIK Wal*Mart doesn't sell open-box merchandise as clearance. They just return it to the warehouse to be returned to the distributor

C) If you think that they are 'hassling' you for asking that you bring back everything you got with the item, to get a refund, you're in for a rude awakening. I don't know of any stores that will just let you bring back whatever you want for a refund. I know my warehouse requires new product be returned with everything it was sold with for full credit to be issued.

Walmart didn't charge me for something once. I went back to pay for it and they acted like I stole it. It was a $30 mouse.

So wouldn't that technically be stealing? You want a full refund but you don't have everything there? How does that work out, explain to me.

Nothing wrong with marking somethign down in price because it was opened. Stop your complaining. You are returning something you opened and causing the store to lose money just because "you didn't like it". Deal with it

Wrong, far far less than that. Stores ship pallets of returns back to the warehouse and then it goes to the return center from there.

I think it's funny that people expect to be able to return anything in any condition for any reason for a full refund, but refuse to accept open box items as new.

Retailers are not obligated to offer you a refund on a product that is not defective as far as I know, and I don't think they should take the hit for consumers' unwillingness to research a product before they buy it. But that's just me.

I give the customer service reps props for being so observant. If only all were as observant. They are generally too accomodating.

Yup. I've had people try and get into arguements with me over things like that before. I tell them to get the **** out of my store.

Newsflash:

Retailers are not required to take back any return for any reason. Be happy we let you do it, if you throw a fit, we (well, most of us) will throw you out.
