WL and its staff are under no legal obligation to anyone to maintain any government documents as classified. Thus, the leaker is the one who decided that these files should be available to the public. WL is simply the vehicle enabling them. First, the founders weren't Gods. While intelligent and brave, they're not the be-all/end-all. Second, they would likely be conflicted, like most people. They would see the good and bad inherent.
