The answer was don't do 2600k so what does that tell you? Tells you we think you should keep what you have and wait it out right?

Youre clearly not as smart as me, so I wont hold that against you, but CPU's dont really increase boot times after you reach a certain point.
Clearly you are smarter than 2is by just repeating what he said. By your logic, parrots are smarter than humans (I don't necessarily disagree with this, as I think measuring something as "smart" is trivial since it's impossible to prove what the point of our life/existence really is or should be about anyway, in the grand scheme of things, but you are different from a parrot in the sense that parrots don't care about categorizing themselves as "smarter" when they copy what other people say... as far as I can tell).

So Im hopefully going to be buying new parts soon but am unsure if I should get SB or wait for piledriver. I dont have a problem waiting for piledriver to be released if it will be released in september or around there, but does anyone have any ideas how it will perform to SB?

Here is my original question, quite evident that anyone can infer that I will be purchasing a 2600K as the SB choice, or the other option of a piledriver... My question title was Should I get SB or wait for piledriver?

Yes I already quoted that before. Third time's a charm?

Answer is the same. Keep what you have. Get an SSD and wait for a while. Nobody knows about AMD's next one, but I'll bet it'll still be slower than your 2500k.

Lets see if that still makes sense. I have two choices (according to my question, not the question you guys answered that didnt exist), wait for piledriver or get a 2600K. You guys told me not to get a 2600K, what does that leave? You might need a little help so ill tell you, WAIT FOR PILEDRIVER. Seeing as that was already resolved I guess ill get a 2600K since I encode media, unless my 2500K is better at media encoding that a 2600K?

If you're not in a hurry, just wait and see. When it comes out, make the choice. Asking that question now, won't do you any good since everybody has a mind of their now. I am sure, your current cpu will do just fine until then. Problem solved.

Maybe im in the wrong, ill be the first to admit that I could be wrong. So basically im wrong because I asked a question and wanted a response, but instead got people telling me an answer to a question I did not ask then branching off even further and getting me annoyed that noone was responding to my question. I guess next time someone has a question ill give them a completely unrelated answer, since that would make me "right"

Well you haven't figured it out yet... Keep trying though... It has nothing to do with you being right or wrong, it has to do with unrealistic expectations.

Don't say it, I know what you're going to ask me next... "so it's unrealistic of me to expect an answer to a question?" and the answer is no, that's not unrealistic. What is unrealistic is to not expect any criticisms stemming from what many would consider a worthless upgrade. It doesn't matter if that was your question or not, we aren't computers on the other end programmed to answer a specific question and nothing more. If we see something that makes little or no sense, it's going to come out. To expect an answer to your question and your question only when there is such a glaring "WTF" here is naive and unrealistic.

Ok, so I cheated and gave you the answer instead of letting you figure it out.

Now answer my question! How should i get rid of this money: burining it, or flushing it down the toilet.

You could try shoving it [redacted]. Im selling my computer and will be getting a 2600K for 50$, im not sure why you are such an [wonderful person] but you are. Im also not sure wher I posted any of the stuff thats quoted, unless you really were talking to the guy you quoted. Also, be a big boy and report this please. Im sure you will

Oh it's been reported alright. By a dozen different people. And all to your detriment I assure you.

Actually, 2600k is faster and better than 2500k in plenty of situations, BF3 being one of them by as much as 20% from my own testing with thread count and BF3. So everyone with their 4 core 4 thread chips, quite bashing a 2600K upgrade. For $50? He'd need one hell of a reason to not do it.

Yeah and he could have used the search function to find his answer instead of creating this uproar

Next time please leave the name calling at the front door. Maybe other members will take you a little more seriously.
