Anyone use on of these devices? You supposedly can burn fat while at sitting in your cubicle at work. link

Not looking to replace the gym or exercise of any kind, just in addition to it.

I think the shake weight actually has at least a modicum of validity in terms of fitness; absolutely no idea how this thing is supposed to help you burn calories.

You could always just try keeping your abdominals slightly flexed while sitting. No clue what extra calories, if any, it burns, but I've noticed that if nothing else, it seems to help with posture.

You'd be better off using a bosu ball as your office chair if you wanted to make your core work while sitting at your desk. Better yet get a desk that you stand up at.

You know what you can do that's free that'll burn more fat while in the cube... drink a liter of cold water. The adjustment to the loss of body heat + having to get your ass off the chair to go to the bathroom a couple times will burn more fat than what that thing will ever do.

No, that's not really going to help you. Sure, it'll probably burn a few calories, but it won't provide any functional gains, nor will it specifically reduce fat around the midsection since you cannot spot reduce. You'd be way better off just cutting a few hundred calories from your diet.

Eh, there's been research with this - it only improves caloric increase by less than 100cals. On top of that, the shock of cold water can actually be an issues with sympathetic function or heart arrythmias. Like I said before, just cut a few more calories from the diet or be a bit more patient.

From what I've heard, you should never use back-braces, ever.

Strength and conditioning, physical therapy, is the only real solution.

if you are doing it to lose calories don't do it, just turn yourself into a leg tapper lol

you don't want to let your core muscles waste away for no reason

You'll burn what like 50 calories a day maybe you'll lose a pound (assuming you're eating perfectly now) after a year of religiously wearing it; not worth it.

Ever? That's a bit extreme, considering back braces are frequently used in individuals who have back surgery or severe injuries to offload the symptomatic tissue. They're used in conjunction with things like strengthening and physical therapy. In addition to that, this item isn't exactly a back brace - it's a sham item that's supposed to get you abs.

I just meant in a situation where you dont medically require one dont ever do it. Like in this case if you wear it to just get the heat o burn calories you as a consequence degrade your core muscles

The waist trimmer cushions, compresses, and supports your lower back and abdominal muscles while retaining therapeutic heat. As a result, you'll not only trim your love handles, but also relieve sore muscles and arthritis.

It 'trims' your love handles the same way a corset does. That's it.
