I don't know. I've had some pretty tasty pancakes at iHop, but I usually get whatever the seasonal ones are at the time (Pumpkin Pie pancakes? Hell yes). Plus, you can get like an 8 pound omelette on the side. That's pure win right there.
 
Crepes. Oh Jesus. Cheese filled with strawberry filling and syrup and oh crepe those are amazing. OP, you should change your name to Sunbogg. That shit would be sick.
 
#1 - IHOP pancakes (especially the cinnamon kind,.. with whipped cream... mmmm)
#2 - Belgian waffles (crispy Belgian waffles!!) with nutella, fruit, caramel, ice cream, etc.
#3 - French toast (crispy French toast!)
#4 - crepes with nutella, fruit, caramel, ice cream, etc.

Crepes are OK,.. but, they are crepes - I don't see the big deal about them. There just isn't enough crispness (like the Belgian waffle) or fluffiness (like the IHOP pancake) to warrant seeking it out.

Also, those who eat savory crepes; you are horrible horrible people that need to go far far far away.

Crepes are easily the weakest option here, as they don't excel well enough in any area. I grew up eating more pancakes, but have grown to appreciate waffles very much. If forced to choose, I'd have to stay a stack of real buttermilk pancakes with warm real maple syrup are just too good, so that. Waffles a very close 2nd.
 
Crepes are the best tasting, but it takes like 30 of them to make a filling meal, so usually I stick with waffles since they are easier, and damn tasty and magical as well.

Yorkshire pudding = popover. You can do them either sweet (fruit, custard, whipped cream) or savory (with gravy & meat or like chicken salad as a stuffing). Basically you just get a cupcake tin, fill each cup with a bit of oil & preheat it for 15 minutes, then pour the batter into the hot oil cup & put it back in the oven. It puffs up hollow & is pretty tasty. They can either bready or eggy depending on how you make them, they're actually pretty good & super easy to make (you can make the batter in your blender, which is what I do). Not sure you are going to the "right" place then. IHOP has the cheese blintzes and you get strawberries with them and syrup, combined with the sausage and hash browns or whatever and oh damn. I'm going to IHOP next chance I get. OP change your name to sunbogg.

I used to eat them at my moms or my grandparents place since my grandfather and my mother both make excellent crepes.

Otherwise I have had them at places like Al Johnsens... When I say Crepes I mean 'Swedish Pancakes' which are essentially crepes..... mmmmmmm
 
anything you can put on a crepe you can put on a waffle, and you get the delightful textural contrast on a waffle you don't get on a crepe

and pancakes blow ass, so clearly waffles > crepes > pancakes.
 
Pecan pancakes > crispy waffles > normal pancakes > normal waffles > crepes.

Either way as long as they are not soggy thick waffles it's all good.

Also after a long period of deep thought I've decided it was best to leave french toast out of this thread. If we let the french in here, next thing you know people will be asking for pop-tarts and toaster struedels.
