w00t! Just joined the HD club!

Are there any decent HD's out there for a reasonable price? I've been considering buying one when this set craps out...but I simply cannot justify spending that much on a television since I barely watch anything. What kind of price range do they have right now for something that won't break a week later?

I think that's more the exception to the norm - the avg. price would be 1.5~2x that, I'm thinking?

Once you go HD, you cant even watch regular TV anymore.

so true.

for some reason, our local CBS station doesn't broadcast football (well, dolphin) games in HD. And while we don't like the dolphins anyways, it's just painful to watch.

So we always switch it back to Fox. (We actually get two different feeds from Fox.. one is from a diff. county and always shows the Giants games)

Hitachi RP CRTs kick ass.
Myself, I got a Sony KD 34XS955 with Superfine Pitch and built in ATSC tuner for $799 with 10% off- came out to around $780 total! Man, you've got to see what HD looks like on this!:Q

How are you going to get HD contents, OTA, cable, or via satellites?

For now, just gonna get that one indoor Zenith antenna that everyone is raving about. Looked on antennaweb.com, and all broadcasts are less than 15 miles away.

Yeah, but SHHH- it was open box.🙂
When I saw this deal at BB, I couldn't believe it. There were some scratches around the case but the screen was fine. Unbelievable, I had to get it.
It's in the basement now, with the coaxial cable snaking out to the upstair bedroom from outside- very ghetto😀 but it works. At 200lbs, though, it took 4 guys to get it down here.
