I stopped watching it about 2 years ago due to bad writing, and some bad acting. The ideas behind the stories were more than decent most of the time, but the writers butchered them. Sometimes the actors made it even worse.
Too bad, cuz I really loved TNG. I also sorta hoped that the writing would improve after DS9 ended, but no such luck.
