Poll Taxes. Plain and simple. Just because you think everyone should have an ID on them, doesn't mean they should be required to have them to exercise their right to vote. Anything short is an attack on freedom, and you should be ashamed of yourselves for supporting such laws.

Just a PSA.

How many of us even KNOW a person who does not have ID?

Yeah that's a totally valid arguement! I don't know anyone that owns a gun, I guess we don't need guns! None of my friends steal, I guess theft laws are pointless!

If your registration is accepted you should be able to vote when you appear at the polls, no further ID required. Here in Oregon we vote by mail and it works quite well. No bother with ID and no waiting in line for hours. We get our ballot and have around two weeks to fill it out and drop it off in a county drop box (or mail it in). I would believe that politicians were acting in good faith if they were passing laws that provided a free voter ID card upon registration but that is not what they want. They want confusion and chaos by allowing certain forms of ID and not others, then not being clear on the requirements (or failing to inform the public in an effective fashion) so that lots of people show up at the polls and are unable to vote because they have the wrong or no ID. Add to that cutting the scheduled times/days for voting in an attempt to exclude certain groups, lack of sufficient polling places, long lines and whatever else the right can throw at you and you have an experience designed to depress turnout.

Voting is a right and anything that impedes a citizen from exercising that right is wrong.

what if the photo IDs are free???? After all the gas I used to get the poll is taxed and I have to have it as there is no public transportation option from my house to the voting booth, if i walk the shoes were taxed, can't go vote nude so the cloths society makes me wear to go vote is taxed.... yeah its stretching/strawman etc.. but tired of it. States with voter ID law will give you an ID to use, and if not then the state should be sued to provide an ID for low income.

Hell Bill Clinton had the best idea to re-issue SS cards with a photo ID, use those to vote and at the same time making them harder to counterfeit.

At one point is voter fraud big enough that you and other would support a voted ID?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but those two examples you stated don't seem to have anything to do with his argument, which is neither valid nor invalid, since it's not deductive? I don't think he's saying, "if you don't know anyone without id, then everybody has id." He probably would acknowledge that some people don't, but doesn't care about them?

Vote ID is how Satin will fool Republicans to accept his mark willingly and with glee.

So now that I've learned that I already paid my poll tax based on my unending trust in government, should I file a lawsuit? Seems like my rights have been trampled on.

You're my top pick here for potential gun violence against innocents.

You mean the Mark of the Beast?

Moonbeam just argued for the sensibilities of religious fundies. I say screw 'em. Got no use for people afraid to carry a card.

OTOH, if those cards were replaced by implanted RFID chips... :whiste:

Pretty much. No wonder the left is so afraid of Voter ID. Common sense is definitely not anything they count on their base having.

I like how "common sense" is now defined as 'belief in something even though it runs contrary to all evidence'.

Make it DNA testing then. With the death penalty for voting law violations.

Laws against public nudity are Poll Taxes. Plain and simple. Just because you think everyone should have clothes on them, doesn't mean they should be required to have them to exercise their right to vote. Anything short is an attack on freedom, and you should be ashamed of yourselves for supporting such laws. :colbert:

Does the US Constitution say anything about requiring any form of identification to vote?

Of course, technically, the US Constitution doesn't explicitly guarantee the right to vote...although it is implied...

Even the US Supreme Court says we have no constitutional right to vote...

http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin...stitution-not-explicit-right-vote-wisconsin-/

Which should be obvious given the number of amendments giving the right to vote to various groups.

what if the photo IDs are free????

Then the issue is that the people lack the necessary documentation to get the free ID.

So basically the issues is the left thinks that people with absolutely no evidence of their existence as lawful US citizens should be allowed to vote.

One guess why
