36. Ohio ? Employees may take a ?reasonable amount of time? to vote on election day. The statute doesn?t say whether the time off is paid or unpaid. (Ohio Rev. Code Ann. Section 3599.06)

I peeked and saw you live in Ohio :p
http://employmentlawpost.com/t...ate-by-state-survey-2/

This is quoted exactly what my dept guidelines state:

Voting| Q: Do we get time off to vote?

A: The voting polls are open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm. The dept hours of operation allow the employees the ability to vote before their shift begins or aftwer their shift ends. If an employee is working the shift of 6:30 am to 7:30 pm, we need to allow the employees the necessary time off to vote.

That is why I am not expecting my managers to allow me to go. I might just say screw it do it during my lunch (even if I run over on my lunch break oh well).

There probably is and if you do enough research you can find one.

If I had a package at my house that I said you could have but it would be a surprise package that contained either a gold bar or nothing, but that there was only a 1 in a trillion chance that it contained a gold bar, would you drive to my house to pick it up? Would you waste the gas and or your time to do so?

ok I'm paranoid now. We had the optical scan ballots where you pencil in a bubble beside each candidate's name..and I think I overfilled my bubble a bit. I really wanted to make sure the vote was counted so I scribbled in the bubble like 6 times, lol. It was all dark but there were a few sharp edges sticking outside of the bubble boundary around 1/2cm. It wasnt close to the other candidate but I'm still worried..

Is there any chance this could result in a misvote?

No. Usually the machines that read those read JUST INSIDE the circles for cases like this.

Would it really matter at all?

What is your point. Nothing matters. In the long run we are all dead.

You won't vote because not voting makes you feel special. But I think I can out 'feeling special' you any day of the week and twice of Sundays.

I'm going to vote for light and hope and and surf a mighty wave. I'm going to fly away. My joy is going to bounce me off the moon. O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
I chortle in my joy.

I live in Illinois. My vote won't make a difference. I should have filled out a registration form in Ohio and listed my address as "city bench #14". Then I could have *really* been a part of this history.

All that pent up misplaced anger towards others, and so little insight about yourself, Moonbeam.

But don't worry. They might eventually let you out of your angry mental prison for good behavior if you just stop posting here about your dark emo angst and twisted vision of others.

But keep up the therapy and don't stop taking your meds, we all enjoy a good nervous breakdown as much as killing, organized sports and beer.

I'm not angry at all. Well, not most of the time. McSame LOST and I was an Obama delegate in a state that is Bible belt REPUBLIKRAT kountry and voted for McSame and also favored Hilly for the Democrats. I was in the tiny minority of the Obama supporters at the Democratic caucus.

So THERE. :p

Stick that in your hookah and smoke it. ;)
