LOL, oh no, I've displeased a handful of strangers I'll never meet. It's a good thing I took the day off to ice fish with my buddies, I'll be able to drown my sorrows.

I understand your position guys, my crimes against humanity are grievous: first there was the crucifixion, then the holocaust, and now I've gone and said a V5 6K isn't worth $1500.. Only history will be my judge, but I imagine in future dictionarys my picture will be next to the word "misanthrope".

Damn! I could have spared a couple thousand! I wish I had seen this before it sold! 3dfx was the king! I remember when I got my first V1, it was like my life began! This thing is one rare objet d'art, I've heard Lloyds of London is insuring it for a million dollars! If I would have bought it, I'd mount it on a rotating lighted pedestal, sealed in a glass dome. Or I might have let the NY Metropolitan Museum of Art display it, so the WHOLE WORLD could see it's glory. It has FOUR VSA-100s, you know. Man, if that card would have made it out the door, the world would be a different place today!

Damn, had I known someone like Rollo existed around these forums, I prolly never wouldve posted this type of thread. Instead of simple healthy debates, we're gettin off-the-wall sermons and crap. Oh well, when it comes down to it, it's only one of two things.... either 1) Rollo has no social skills, or 2) he's just really pissed that he wasn't the one that ended up with such an awesome video card 😛

I dont think its either of those things rim. Like myself, Rollo just likes to see people use at least some of the gray matter upstairs that usually goes to waste in most folks. Unfortunately, I dont have any patience in my "old age" for non thinkers. I used to be a PC tech. It's amazing how many people would rather have someone else think for them, instead of thinking on their own and trying to figure something out. Just last night I was on the phone with my best friend trying to get his Audigy card to work properly. He could of figured it out on his own, but he was too lazy and opted for me to be his puppet master and tell him every friggin mouse click and key stroke. Annoyed me to no end and its very tiring. I even had to tell him how to spell things. OMFG. This is why I am no longer a PC tech. To Rollo and myself, the purchase of this video card may have been valuable to a choice few people, but when held up against a bigger picture, it was poor judgement IMHO. Forgive me Rollo for speaking for you but I think you may feel the same way.

So I enjoy it when I see people thinking of ways to make something work, not thinking of ways not to work themselves. I cant see paying for something you cant use right now. The V6 I might have paid 30.00 for and thats only if I had a plan to use it for whatever reason.

Well in the trading world, value is judged in more than one view. It may mean something more to someone than as it's to someone else. Collectors may only collect from only a particular category. Etc.. Etc. Rollo proves this point, there is no problem.

To me, I really don't care much for that item. The only thing I think about is that it will be one day worth $$$. So I'm hoping whoever acquires this item will have more respect for it than either myself or rollo would.

I don't think it's really important that anyone agrees with me on this either, the issue is fairly irrelevant. It's not like a badly designed, weak video card from a bankrupt company is going to clean up the atmosphere or cure cancer now is it? If you think this is an important topic, and it is important other people share your opinion on it, I have to wonder what your life is like. (or think you're a minor)
